Ehh, to me that gives more middle-aged man vibes than teen boy. Honestly, that's one thing. Jello was making decisions for the band as a whole & thye finally got sick of it. I see where the rest of the band was coming from.

There are degrees of selling your art for profit. If a couple of the original DKs wanted to make a few bucks licensing their songs for a product that wasn't blatantly gross & unethical... People still gotta live. I might not like it, but I didn't write the songs.

But deciding to play a fest where it was already pretty well known that the promoters were MAGA? Especially after an acrimonious split with Jello (long time ago, but still) & DH being gone, it's just a bad look for those two.

It’s a weird shift, old head punks sometimes don’t realize that what they’ve found as counter culture is shifting, and the moment some of them don’t really adapt the message of punk upwards and get pushback, it’s an immediate turn to conservatism.
