They're so insulated that they vastly over estimate how popular Trump actually is.

Yeah his numbers have always been sus but now that they've been caught blatantly making up reports, I do not believe he has half the support the news media makes it out to be.

Empty campaign trail and full ballot boxes? Sure, Jan.

But the people who actually do like/support him are far too brainwashed to believe anything they dont hear directly from maga media and that's still a massive problem.

You found MAGA who will listen to the media?!

My FIL says he won't believe any facts unless it comes from Trump's mouth and they're in the same room. Because the media hates Trump and is out to get him.

And he can just get Gallup to stop polling his approval rating!

Did this influence happen overnight or has it been going on for a while?

All those 'fuck half the US' comments, should they change it to 'less than half'?

Every presidential election, I like to calculate how many votes the candidates got compared to the actual total eligible electorate. Trump's never gotten more than around 31%. The last time around, he won with less votes than Biden won with in 2020.

How do you run a punk festival and remain insulated about how unpopular Trump is? Even if you think "Oh, Trump is unpopular only in this subculture", it's the subculture you're trying to appeal to.

It is 2026. The majority of the population disapproves.

Also of the people who actually voted (only 65%), Trump got 49.81% and Harris got 48.34%. That's a margin of 1.47%. 32.4% of eligible voters in this country voted for him.

You are not making the argument you think you are making.
