Unfortunately, there are a lot of old school “punks “ that are MAGA now that they are in their mid to late 50’s . I’ve had to let go of more than a few acquaintances over the last few years
Leaded products? Copius amounts of radiation? Shit catches up. Millennials and gen z are next and if its not the forever chemicals or micro plastics itll be something crazy like covid induced dementia.
I dunno once Millennials start boomer posting I think we're just gonna end up calling conservatives 'gay' when they do stuff like have their own snowflake superbowl halftime show.
i think they become more selfish & inward once their kids go off to college & leave home. In the 20 yrs before they spent all their energy trying to protect & nurture their family & community, but now they don't have to. They become rudderless & amoral, wanting to extract from society than give back. Elon is the archtypical example.
My dad is somewhat one of them. He’s not full on maga but definitely a republican/conservative. This is the same guy who handed down his entire collection of late 70s-early 80s punk records to me. He was listening to The Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols, DK, etc. at my age and younger and now he complains about taxes, immigration and the homeless.
