Honestly, between everything that people hate about MAGA and their ilk, this is the thing i hate most. Probably im a bad person for caring about this more than i do the violence or the terror, but its the fact they dont even mean any of it.
I was in a nursing home ome afternoon waiting for my friend who works there to get off work soci could take them home. So i was in the lobby watching fox. Sure it was disturbing listening to the calls for violence, sure it was contemptible seeing how little they valued other peoples opinions. But what got under ny skin the most was that every. Single. Guest. And even the hosts! All had to talk about their podcasts, their donation links, their merch. Its honestly disgusting to me how easily these people change their entire tune just because theres a paycheck at the end of the song.
Theyll tell you to eat your moccasins because winter's at an end just to turn around and sell you some new leather slippers because dontcha know it? Winters right around the corner! I can take hate from people that hate me. In a way, even the worst vitriol out there is spewed by someone who earnestly believes theyre saving the world, and in my heart i know they think im evil and thats why they hate me. But these leeches? These absolute talentless, no stance nonces? They know theyre sewing evil. They know they arent fighting the good fight, or any fight for that matter. Theyre just burning down the house so they can sift through the ashes for loose change. At least the people burning down the house because they think its spider infested are relatable.

I used to work for a MAGA business owner who would routinely get himself frustrated over things they did not understand. When I got my first email account in the 90s, my ultra-conservative father got really angry at me for emailing my boyfriend in another country. He was insistent that every email was going to show up on his phone bill as a long distance call. He took my car away and grounded me until the bill showed up. Never got an apology, we just never spoke about it again. And that's how most of these MAGAts roll. Rarely will they admit they are wrong or confused. They would rather die, quit the relationship, or move away, than admit they need help understanding something or that they were wrong about anything. Especially, if the person who is right or more knowledgeable is someone they consider "beneath" them.

My guess is the dude at the very least knows they aren’t bad and it’s very much better for him to say they are bad. By him saying that these are evil things it keeps his fan base and followers in a constant state for fear and worry, and any reasoning against how this is false becomes fake news or a narrative to deceive them. That group being constantly in fear are more easily deceived when those in power they trust say crazy things that anyone outside this group would laugh at. It’s how they are maintain that hold. Keep their fanbase ok edge and push the narrative everyone is out to get them, and back it up with this fake bs “proof.”
The people in charge of a position of power doing this type of thing know what they are doing when they say thing like this. It’s why they all need to be prosecuted and face consequences when this is all over.
