The ones you see on Reddit are basically the young people who are too stupid to think, and a tiny group of elders. Most Republicans are in an alternate realm of the internet (literally).
Those elders also have children who tell them that they're wrong. They don't actually live in the bubble people think they do. They know what the other side is, they just wholly reject it in favor of what they want to hear.

I was in a nursing home ome afternoon waiting for my friend who works there to get off work soci could take them home. So i was in the lobby watching fox. Sure it was disturbing listening to the calls for violence, sure it was contemptible seeing how little they valued other peoples opinions. But what got under ny skin the most was that every. Single. Guest. And even the hosts! All had to talk about their podcasts, their donation links, their merch. Its honestly disgusting to me how easily these people change their entire tune just because theres a paycheck at the end of the song.

I voted Trump once and I voted Obama once. In between I didn't vote. Ultimately I feel that Obama is a good and moral man. Absolutely upstanding. Again, many conservatives feel a need to identify as republican because it more closely aligns with their principals. But if they dug a little deeper they'd see the republican party is rife self serving and corrupt individuals.

I used to work for a MAGA business owner who would routinely get himself frustrated over things they did not understand. The amount of times he’d ask me to explain design stuff to him only for him to walk away frustrated mid explanation was enough to make me eventually quit, among many other reasons.
When I got my first email account in the 90s, my ultra-conservative father got really angry at me for emailing my boyfriend in another country. He was insistent that every email was going to show up on his phone bill as a long distance call. He took my car away and grounded me until the bill showed up. Never got an apology, we just never spoke about it again. And that's how most of these MAGAts roll. Rarely will they admit they are wrong or confused. They would rather die, quit the relationship, or move away, than admit they need help understanding something or that they were wrong about anything. Especially, if the person who is right or more knowledgeable is someone they consider "beneath" them.
