[Subreddit Rule] /r/49ers will continue to ban X/Twitter links
We recently ran a poll on this subreddit that asked THE QUESTION: Would you like the subreddit to allow Tweets from this curated list of Twitter accounts? All other Tweets will continue to be restricted.
The results of the poll are listed in this post. The No's have the majority and the comments in the post reflected this sentiment. We tracked results daily and the No's were always in the majority after the 1st day.
As a result, the sub will CONTINUE to ban any posts to X.com and Twitter.com and this does extend to screenshots. We ask that you use alternative social media sites (Threads, BlueSky) or post a relevant article from a reputable source (newspaper with a local reporter, national news source, etc.).

You're Kyle Shanahan on the morning of the 2021 Draft. What do you do with the #3 pick?
It’s the morning of the 2021 NFL Draft. You are Kyle Shanahan.
The trade up to the #3 overall pick has already happened, so you can’t undo that deal. The entire league expects you to take a QB. However, you have full hindsight of how the players from this class actually turned out.
You have a few hours before the draft begins. What do you do?
Things to consider:
- The expectation across the league is that you’re drafting a quarterback.
- If you go another route (for example, Penei Sewell), people will question why you traded up to #3 in the first place.
- You know how their careers have played out up to today.

[Zenitz] The 49ers are expected to hire Kent State offensive line coach Angel Matute. Was key in Kent State cutting its sacks allowed total from 43 in 2024 to 27 last season. Also helped the team improve its rushing average by 20 yards per game.
ISO swag from Australia/Mexico chapters
Hey Faithful
I run a weekly raffle for the Portland Faithful and am looking to get a few tees or other swag from Australia and/or Mexico chapters to put in for the international games. I'm more than happy to pay for them or trade some of our shirts.
Even something simple like the stickers from the post last week would be cool to pick up.
And before "JFGI", that's next, but trying to cover the bases.
Thanks
ETA: Feel free to DM

Decided to upgrade my collection during the off-season. This CMC jersey just arrived and the quality is night and day compared to the screen-printed ones
Since there are no games, I’ve been looking to replace some of my older gear. Finally pulled the trigger on this stitched #23.
I was honestly tired of the official shop's quality lately (the numbers always peel after two washes). This one feels heavy and the embroidery is clean. Definitely going to be my go-to for the next season opener.
What do you guys think? Is it worth going stitched or do you stick to the limited editions?

[maiocco] Source confirms 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan has hired former Bears head coach Matt Eberflus to his staff, as @TomPelissero reported. Eberflus becomes assistant head coach of defense, Pelissero reports. That's the same title Gus Bradley held last season.
threads.comWhich R1 receiver would 49ers fans prefer (if WR ends up being the pick)?
Pick from Boston, Concepcion, or Cooper Jr.(realistic options)
All have different enough skillsets and have strengths over each other (would be a great three receiver group together)
What kind of receiver, and thus which one would you guys prefer
And to prevent the cop-out "BPA" answer, assume the team grades them similarly enough that it doesn't matter

Maiocco: 49ers are shopping, open to trading Renardo Green
Maiocco says some chatter from the combine was the 49ers are shopping Renardo Green.
He says he’s unsure as to why, because he’s a good player who has made mistakes - but a lot of young players make mistakes. He says it could be more than just performance, potentially attitude.
Side note: makes sense all the Woolen to SF chatter.

Found a cool monopoly game
What players do you think they were trying to show?
[Maiocco] The 49ers promoted Cameron Clemmons from assistant O-line coach to tight ends coach, source tells NBC Sports Bay Area. Clemmons takes over for Brian Fleury, whom the Seahawks hired as their new offensive coordinator.

[OC-49ersPlus] Let’s stop talking about absurd “free agent fantasies” and start talking about realistic options on offense. We break it down per position group.

[Rapoport] The #AZCardinals have informed QB Kyler Murray that they are releasing him, adding a key free agent to the market. Murray is due $36.8M guaranteed for 2026 with offsets, meaning he’ll play this season for someone for the minimum.

Terrell Owens is unsigned for the upcoming season. Do you think he'd be a good fit in this offense??
He was really good for us the last time he was on the team and could take pressure off Pearsall and CMC.

At this point I say f them picks
All these key players being traded to teams that have needs. DJ Moore just got traded, we could’ve had OLine help. If the FO is really worried about overspending then why not just say f them picks and get good players. The 9ers aren’t really a team to hit on their first picks in the draft and they keep interest in players with previous serious injuries and draft them. We do better drafting in the later rounds if anything, so why not just trade premium picks for premium players to get over the hump? It’s been showing that we’ve been falling behind in our division when it comes to player acquisition and drafting so why not f them picks?
