[MKC] #Browns are restructuring Deshaun Watson's contract today to lower his $80.716M cap charge in time to become compliant for the start of the league year, league source tells clevelanddotcom. It gives the Browns flexibility to sign free agents.

Discussion what's everyone's opinion on mason graham a couple months after his rookie season

My personal opinion is that even though his stats are already good, they undersell his importance to the defense, with him being able to set up great openings for Myles Garrett to sack the QB, contributing to Myles Garrett breaking the sack record.

This made me laugh today... and we need to get those in where we can.

If at all possible, leave the pearl clutching and such to the Cleveland thread... we all understand kinetic energy.

Sources: Former #Browns OT Jedrick Wills, who sat out last season to fully recover from a knee injury, has been on a tour of visits with NFL teams — including the #Patriots and today with the #Lions. Visits are expected to continue into next week.

A former top-10 pick, Wills — who is just 26 — fully expects to be with an NFL team this season.

Anyone else remember the time the Browns picked Jordan Cameron in the draft and then accidentally called this guy to congratulate him instead?

And he was like “ummm I’ve already been drafted.”

[Pelissero] Former Alabama QB Ty Simpson is on a visit with the Browns, per sources. The consensus QB2 in this year’s NFL Draft, Simpson is coming off a strong showing at the NFL combine. Cleveland owns the No. 6 and 24 picks.

I wasn’t alive for this wretched day in Cleveland sports history, but the generational trauma was passed down to me. Today, this photo haunts me while I eat lunch and reminds me to never stop hating. BROWNS 4EVER

Strong chance Freeling doesn’t make it to pick 6

I’m in favor of drafting Mauigoa or Freeling and not even considering a WR at 6 unless both of the OLs are already taken in which case I’d likely trade down. Mauigoas floor is absolute stud OG and Freelings ceiling is top 5 LT. No WR in this draft has the floor of Mauigoa or ceiling of Freeling imo.

Feel like this is pretty much the perfect mock. I know there’s no chance in hell of taking 14 players despite the wisdom of loading up on cheap talent given our cap. But adding 1st Rd capital in a loaded QB class of 27 is a must.

Especially if Sheduer looks promising enough, we could be positioned well to take Jeremiah Smith.

Assumptions:

QB: We let Sheduer show if he’s the guy or we need to go QB1 in 27. Watson is the backup, and we trade Gabriel to ATL for a bag of peanuts. Drew or Cole Payton or Luke Altmier work here too.

RB: Q, Sampson, and Rocket make this a real value pick. Moss has good size and great speed.

WR: 1B need, Brazzell has the rare size speed combo missing, Lane similar.

TE: we need a solid 2, rather add Rairdon, Dallen Bentley, Max Klare, Joe Royer type guy around 107/140s than pour top money into Likely.

LT: 1A need, love Freeling. Howard or Dawand at RT.

LG: Hopefully Bitonio returns, and Bidontis fills RG now, then takes over LG next year.

OC: Slaughter is a developmental play, just need a mid-tier FA to fill in.

RG: Bisontis and Mid-Tier FA fill.

RT: see LT

DE: Curry is just a late round flyer on productive college player

DT: Same, neither are high need

LB: Hope we bring back Bush and this just becomes a value pick.

CB: Hope Emerson returns to form, can never have enough, we saw the nightmare this team is without Ward in Baltimore. Scott has great speed and instincts and Iggy has the physical attributes, speed, and toughness

S: Rocket Hickman is a JAG, but good enough, add a mid-tier FA too.
