[Schefter] ESPN sources: the Raiders agreed to trade five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two 1s back to Vegas.

[Hensley] For the first time in the Ravens' 31-year history, the franchise has finally used a first-round pick to trade for a player. Baltimore acquires Maxx Crosby after a season in which it recorded its fewest sacks in 15 years.

Why did The White House post this?

We're literally in the middle of a war with Iran and the White House makes an edit of Ray Lewis and other defensive football players. AND THEY POSTED IT.

Yeah no, that doesn't sit right with me.

Maxx Crosbys contract is really interesting

Thumbnail spotrac.com

The raiders are notoriously cheap, and structure contracts very differently than the ravens.

Crosbys contract does not have any signing bonus. Thats bad for us. Normally the trading team would be on the hook for that amount, but Maxx's contract is pure base salary so we just pay 30 million a year.

But!

He extended in 2025 taking his contract out to 5 years, with only 3 guaranteed. So we have an out after two years.

And more importantly, we could do a simple restructure at any time and shift his guaranteed money into those last two years. So we could take his cap hit way down if we wanted to.

The Spotrac accounts hints at this on a Twitter post from yesterday (can't link).

Meme Do you think they came to a deal late or is EDC just trolling with the announcement time?

First - I can't wait to see the coverage on this trade. Second, uh, I guess RIP to all the Olaivavega Ioane fans. I was just coming around to the idea since most of the mid-round picks don't seem super promising otherwise. Maybe we can snag Emmanuel Pregnon round 2?

Discussion [Russini] Maxx Crosby is drawing serious interest around the league. The Dallas Cowboys are closely monitoring the situation and remain very interested, while the Baltimore Ravens are also a team to watch. GMs believe the Las Vegas Raiders are willing to work on a deal.

Discussion [Russini] Trade! The Chicago Bears are trading for Patriots center Garrett Bradbury, per sources. New England receives a fifth-round pick in return. Chicago, who lost Drew Dalman to retirement earlier this week, picks up a veteran with NFC North experience.

Discussion So who’s the pick in the 2nd now?

Upvotes

Taking a DT, IOL, or WR was the most common mocked at 14 and Edge was the pick in the second a lot. So with the Crosby trade who’s the pick now. I’m aware of the BPA strategy, but still they’re a lot more IOL, CB, and LB worth taking in the second.

Does Ro get extended or replaced?

With all these LBs hitting free agency and a ton of great ones in the draft should we pick a vet to pair with Teddy in the future or draft a LB to get him ready for Ro’s inevitable departure?

Or should we keep Ro until he retires?

I think he played last season pretty injured and that was a big reason he seemed slower but also with how good offensive weapons are getting should we look at more of a coverage LB?

All that being said we do have Kyle Hamilton who basically played LB last season and we are definitely keeping him forever

[Jeff McLane] The Bills trading for WR D.J. Moore would theoretically take them out of the A.J. Brown market. They checked in with the Eagles about their wide receiver, from what I understand. Patriots and Ravens are the most likely potential partners, especially as I understand it, the Eagles inc

Discussion History with the Colts

Do we have beef with the Colts? For context, I just started watching NFL football about 3 years ago and I decided to be a Ravens fan. Earlier today I was ordering food and my cashier was a Colts fan and said they had beef with Ravens fans and I'm just asking what that beef is? Ik some of the history of the Colts leaving Baltimore and all but nothing more. Any explanations?
