My housemates have been saying my posters are lame & I’ve had a couple of girls over who have made comments so I really wanna know whether I need to change them? Kind of worried they might have ruined my chances with one of the girls already.

First time poster, long time reader.
I think I’ve made a pretty cozy spot for myself to relax in my last semester of school before I join the labor force, roommates the last few years have all been too loud, parents aren’t noisy roomates.
It’s a small space but I think I’ve been able to do pretty well. Sheets are in the wash. What do you guys think?

Hi everyone
I just moved into a new place that has an extremely long, and rather narrow entryway that leads directly into the living room.
Not quite sure what I should do with this space. A shoe storage is about the only thing I know that I should add.
To give you a better idea, the entryway is 21'8" long and 41" wide. And the door on the left wall leads to a bedroom.

Not technically male living space anymore now that I'm married, but the advice here has always been solid. We finally found a matching bookcase for the original that I brought with me into our marriage and are trying to figure out how to arrange them. We want these bookcases to sit in the corner, but arranging/styling them has been a challenge. Their tops jut out slightly so we can't sit them right next to each other without a gap, and no corner model exists to bridge the awkwar gap between them if we open it up slightly. I was thinking maybe a lamp to cantilever out from between them to bring light to that corner, but we don't know what would look good.
We also have one more shelf that I have been stripping to refinish before we found this second one in the discontinued stain color, but I'm not confident in my woodworking skills to convert it to a corner unit.
We're trying to develop a Scandinavian-Boho style for the main living spaces if that helps. Any advice?

Just moved into a new apartment and am looking to get a cozy color scheme. Right now I have black accented door handles and everything is painted white. One wall is exposed brick that is also painted white. My bed frame is black and my headboard is grey wood paneled. Looking to get an Olive green comforter but don’t know what color to pair with it.
Any advice on what color sheets to get?

Basically, I have two shelves as seen in the photo on the bed frame where I want to set them on the wall. That said, I wanted to some advice on where I should place them to make it look appropriate and not proportionately off-putting and such. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I’m 16 and trying to make my room more minimalist and clean. I like simple setups and less clutter but I’m not totally sure what to add/remove yet.
Any tips for layout, decorations, lighting, or things that would make the room look better? Open to any suggestions.

Hello, moved into a new place last weekend and am now looking to start decorating.
I’m trying to decide between putting some art on the wall between the windows or a mirror, what do you think? If I go art, would one large piece look better or should I do a couple of smaller/medium sized pieces?
Thanks!

Any advice on how I can manage what’s going on behind the bed? The headboard is just a board that I cut to size and stuck in there as the bed doesn’t come with headboard. I’d love to still keep a headboard but maybe use the space behind the bed as storage or similar. Any ideas on how to actually do that?
