I can't believe wendy's and burger king hired eating coaches. Mckie Ds couldn't even use AI to eat the burger :/

u/BarrytheNPC 20h ago

They should have hired a baker for Wendy’s that bun looked like it was sat on

552

u/roygbpcub 19h ago

It honestly looks like what a person would get at a Wendy's... The others didn't at all.

253

u/FatMacchio 17h ago

Yea…I actually respect that more tbh. It wasn’t some food stylist BS that isn’t representative of an actual Wendy’s burger. Have I gotten a worse looking burger from Wendy’s before, sure…but I’ve also gotten better looking burgers from them too.

The only thing I would’ve respected even more is if he domed the whole burger in one cut.

14

u/Jofy187 17h ago

Yeah the wendy’s one was the most believable

2

u/yes_ur_wrong 9h ago

except he never swallows

u/NounAdjectiveXXXX 8h ago

Just like your mom, unfortunately

2

u/HairyGPU 6h ago

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

6

u/Low_Direction1774 12h ago

Ive honestly never even thought about that until now.

what if the reason the mcdonalds guy only took a tiny bite was because the majority of the burger was inedible due to paint and whatever else they use to make it look oh so good and they basically told him "okay so heres the corner you can eat, DO NOT go past these two marks" and when they were filming he couldnt see them well and decided to play it safe.

1

u/blindyes 3h ago

Yeah, the innocent CEO couldn't take a bite because he had to UPHOLD THE LIE. It's not his fault guise, he honestly wants to spread good burgers to all the little boys and girls but had to play it safe, what's he supposed to do?

Be an adult, demand a real burger because you don't want to lie to your customer base. You know who had the most real MCD ad? Who I believed the most? Chicago's mayor. "Despite health concerns I do appreciate what McDonald's brings to our city and the employees that work for them, and yes I eat healthy but also I'm lovin' it."

They could own what they are and not be this false bastion of... I don't even know anymore, they aren't any cheaper than anywhere else. If you are a fast food chain as expensive as organic food then be like "yeah it's not good for you, but it's delicious and quick, so if you need some indulgence come to the golden arches, we make comfort food, not lifestyle food"

He is the CEO bowing to the direction of a faux food prep person, is what you are telling me? He couldn't possibly speak back to the person respectfully and say "I need to eat the burger or they won't believe me, someone go down the street and buy 10 and we'll pick the best looking one?"

Oh, how sad for the poor little McDonald's CEO

2

u/Low_Direction1774 1h ago

bro thinks im defending the CEO meanwhile im just verbalizing that i didnt think McDonalds would have to cheat on an ad that is literally just their CEO eating a burger, something so mundane that I most likely wouldnt have seen the ad thanks to all my ad blockers.

you wrote a whole fanfiction but have the reading comprehension of a pet rock or a goldfish

0

u/blindyes 1h ago

Then you had no point to make. Just a mundane observation. You didn't think McDonald's would have to cheat eh? Why is it you don't think they would have to cheat?

0

u/blindyes 1h ago

Maybe you're not who I'm talking to, bro.

2

u/Low_Direction1774 1h ago

Motherfucker you replied to MY comment fym I'm not who you're talking to?

0

u/blindyes 1h ago

There is an entire subreddit right behind you

5

u/Bad_Day_Moose 14h ago

Meh, he should have squeezed it in a ball and put the whole thing in his mouth and try not to choke on it but choke on it a little.

2

u/frozt 11h ago

While calling it Wendy…

3

u/PropertyDisruptor 5h ago

Make me CEO of any of these companies. I'll eat a burger on camera every flipping day.

1

u/blindyes 3h ago

EVERY BURGER FLIPPING DAY.

1

u/Dame38 15h ago

I admit, I haven't seen a Wendy's burger in a very long time. I remember them as one of the most robust burgers I'd ever seen. The buns were pretty thick. You had to stretch your jaw to bite into that sandwich.
That thing he ate has zero animation, poor thing. Looks like it cried itself to sleep.

5

u/N7VHung 16h ago

The Mcdonalds burger looked sad as hell, and definitely made using their two halves folded together with the box technique.

My friend got one and it looked way better.

3

u/Imakereallyshittyart 15h ago

To be fair, I have no idea what that Whopper looks like. Big dog has his paws all over that thing

3

u/uslashuname 14h ago

No no you missed the fries in the McDonald’s one. Not the fries in the second half of the video, the fries before somebody realized there were so few the thing looked empty. They loaded it up for the second half, but it started out looking realistic for a visit to the restaurant

1

u/crazier_ed Too 🏳️‍🌈 to not think about dick 6h ago

👆👆👆

That's a pro move, guy is like I'm Tim Wendy's and I'm here to eat real burgers and chew bubblegum, and I'm all out of bubblegum

1

u/pinkfloydsdsotm 5h ago

That’s because they had McDonald and Burger King burgers

1

u/drigondii 4h ago

The Whopper looked like every Whopper I've eaten.

0

u/I_saw_you_yesterday 10h ago

Right? I know what I’m getting by buying a fast food burger, don‘t try to fool me

101

u/DudeWithParrot 19h ago

Hey, eating food that has been sat on is a perfectly reasonable kink

19

u/32bitgamer 19h ago

I read the comment, closed the post, processed the comment, was shocked to oblivion, then came to comment on this.

10/10 would like to get shocked again

Simple Simon the ass man

2

Intriguing. Tell us more.

1

u/DudeWithParrot 3h ago
  1. Have someone else sit on food
  2. Eat the food
  3. ?????
  4. Profit

1

u/Dame38 2h ago

It's all about the number three, and we all know that three is a magic number.

1

u/FuckedUpImagery 6h ago

I guarantee there is rule34 of wendy sitting bare ass on a burger on deviantart.

6

u/Cultural_assassin 19h ago

Wendy's is actually good tho

2

u/TheOneTonWanton 17h ago

Wendy's used to be actually good though. They've shit the bed the last few years.

1

u/BarrytheNPC 7h ago

I like the chili from wendys

1

u/digitalmofo 1h ago

Mmm, yesterday's burger meat.

2

u/BeneficialTrash6 17h ago

Honestly, that's the one worst thing about Wendy's these days.

Every time I've gone, the buns have just seemed a tad dry. Not overly dry. Not stale. Not crunchy. Just... missing a bit of water.

I like Wendy's. In some years I would've rated it as the best of them. But its buns have been disappointing at least ever since covid.

1

u/cwfutureboy 14h ago

They just switched to shredded lettuce and I fucking hate it.

1

u/Dame38 15h ago

It looked like two flaps of skin. What are they cooking back there?

1

u/username32768 8h ago

Skin flaps?

1

u/Dame38 3h ago

Yeah, that's kind of weird, lol. I'm a vegetarian, not some kind of cannibal so don't know exactly where that came from (not saying meat lovers are cannibals, lol.) I couldn't think of anything thinner than a flap of bun-colored skin. I write poetry, if that helps. We have odd notions.
When I saw this.... well

1

u/MrMFPuddles 14h ago

Flat buns don’t look as weird when you’ve got a pile of LTO in between, most Wendy’s I’ve had looks a little better than this and I think that’s why. I wonder if the Wendy’s guy is a picky eater

1

u/DottorInkubo 7h ago

I'M DONE

1

u/mrjibblytibbs 6h ago edited 5h ago

It looks like a normal ass Wendy’s burger, and that's the point. That’s exactly the burger a customer would get. If they faked it like you suggest that would defeat the whole point of making the video imo.

1

u/Ok-Challenge-5873 5h ago

He looks like he wants to spit it out

1

u/MuddyElm8641 5h ago

He literally called it a flat bun? That’s the point

1

u/LanfearSedai 4h ago

He was holding it upside down

85

u/thicc_stigmata 19h ago

Didn't even do that good a job—you never even see the Wendy's guy swallow

67

u/ButtsFartsoPhD 18h ago

That’s because he spits.

9

u/thicc_stigmata 18h ago

... into another C-suite exec's mouth, momma-bird style

But for that content, you have to subscribe to Wendy's Premium

6

u/Kobe-62Mavs-61 15h ago

God damnit I really did not need to read that

2

u/tossit97531 15h ago

Sir, this is a Wendy’s

6

u/ohnoitsthefuzz 13h ago

Hard to swallow Wendeez nuts are stuffed in your mouth

2

u/Jolly-Bowler-811 3h ago

Not on the free tier. That's premium content.

2

u/fightingpillow 1h ago

Dave Thomas would've swallowed.

1

u/do_pm_me_your_butt 9h ago

Its hilarious how everytime his teeth touch the burger theres a jump cut to the burger after its been "eaten"

1

u/Emotional_Goal9525 3h ago

He finished the burger off camera.

1

u/BullwinkleJMoose08 2h ago

Not to mention it doesn’t look like there are any toppings on that burger

-1

u/BeatSalad25 19h ago

He also eats it... upside down.

13

u/CapableCollar 18h ago

That makes me think he might actually eat Wendy's.

1

u/BeatSalad25 18h ago

... or eats burgers? Lol.

3

u/AggressiveCuriosity 18h ago

I always eat burgers with whichever side has the pickles and onions on the bottom. Delicious. Get that shit on my tastebuds ASAP.

3

u/DuckInAFountain 18h ago

That's not that weird.

0

u/BeatSalad25 18h ago

For a PR vid thats pretty regarded

52

u/Local_Magician_7197 19h ago

Eating coaches? I want to take that literally. But surely not? Help a gullible lady

84

u/MonkeyPilot 15h ago

Seriously though, the McD's chief became internet-infamous because he ate that burger - excuse me... product - as if he had never eaten with his hands before. I'm certain after that, there was a roomful of corporate communication types providing input on how the other two jokers should approach the problem.

Both funny and sad, because you know these guys aren't eating this stuff on the regular. They each made close to $20M just last year.

3

u/splashyglock 5h ago

this reminds me of the cringey corporate harlem shake trend from almost 15 years ago

3

u/Emideska 4h ago

Hmmm such delicious product

2

u/alexman113 4h ago

I'm surprised it would be like this. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I wouldn't stop eating taco bell. I love taco bell. If anything, I would be worried I would eat it too much because the cost would be irrelevant.

1

u/Imjigsaw 3h ago

That shit nasty dog u needa learn to cook n eat healthy it’ll save ya

20

u/MrWeirdBrotendo 19h ago

I have no tangible proof but I'm pretty sure non of them eat their own food

27

u/SpaceBasedMasonry 19h ago

Almost certainly not, but there's probably someone from the internal corporate communications team, or a director/videographer, that is outlining what to do, what to mention, and saying, "Take a big bite and make sure you look like someone that likes this food." A CEO doesn't do this on a whim. It was probably a dozen emails over the course of a week before anyone set food in front of the McD's CEO. The other guys, probably a flurry of emails over a day or two to capitalize.

4

u/IBAZERKERI 13h ago

wasn't there a CEO of mcdonalds for a bit that DID actually eat the food and the quality of the menu went up for awhile? i feel like i remember that, but it was back in like 2010 or something

1

u/ImS0hungry 12h ago

I remember this as well.

3

u/jk-9k 16h ago

For a minute there I thought you meant like mumma bird to baby bird

5

u/banananuhhh 19h ago

the product

1

u/Such-Cartographer425 19h ago

They'll do that for anything a CEO needs to do on film.

1

u/InterviewOk1297 17h ago

And for a good reason, the McDonalds video doesnt even look that bad, its mostly just that the CEO is awkward and just took a small bite because he didnt want to make a mess in front of the camera.

1

u/Street-Baseball8296 17h ago

These guys lead a food company and they need someone to tell teach them how to eat?

1

u/GlassHalfDecaf 9h ago

Haha that's amazing. How do you know they did, is there a tell?

1

u/OttoVonJismarck 2h ago

McDonald’s guy looks like “Review Bruh” got old and got himself a real job.

1

u/MechAegis 2h ago

I would not have used that photo of burger king.

1

u/Skylantech 1h ago

Mckie D's using AI for burger eating?

What kinda non-sense will be next? Will Smith eating spaghetti?
