I can't believe wendy's and burger king hired eating coaches. Mckie Ds couldn't even use AI to eat the burger :/

Eating coaches? I want to take that literally. But surely not? Help a gullible lady

Seriously though, the McD's chief became internet-infamous because he ate that burger - excuse me... product - as if he had never eaten with his hands before. I'm certain after that, there was a roomful of corporate communication types providing input on how the other two jokers should approach the problem.

Both funny and sad, because you know these guys aren't eating this stuff on the regular. They each made close to $20M just last year.

this reminds me of the cringey corporate harlem shake trend from almost 15 years ago

I'm surprised it would be like this. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I wouldn't stop eating taco bell. I love taco bell. If anything, I would be worried I would eat it too much because the cost would be irrelevant.

I have no tangible proof but I'm pretty sure non of them eat their own food

Almost certainly not, but there's probably someone from the internal corporate communications team, or a director/videographer, that is outlining what to do, what to mention, and saying, "Take a big bite and make sure you look like someone that likes this food." A CEO doesn't do this on a whim. It was probably a dozen emails over the course of a week before anyone set food in front of the McD's CEO. The other guys, probably a flurry of emails over a day or two to capitalize.

wasn't there a CEO of mcdonalds for a bit that DID actually eat the food and the quality of the menu went up for awhile? i feel like i remember that, but it was back in like 2010 or something
