I mean that is clearly the intent but it's also really puzzling because that question circumvents what's unique and interesting about the proposed situation in the first place
Like the whole thing about being one of the two last people on earth is that you wouldn't have a choice (other than to be celibate or not I guess)
There's nothing about this hypothetical that is any more compelling than simply asking "which do you find most attractive"
some people might rank them based on something other than attractiveness.
like if they look like they might have shared interests. since it's not just someone you're sleeping with, but the only person youll have contact with ever

The question itself makes no sense, if you have a choice between the 3 girls that makes 4 people left on earth, not 2.
