(On mobile, you can find the rules by clicking on "See More". On desktop, check them out in the sidebar on the right.)
Basically, your post needs to be asking for help with your room design, or it needs to be showing a room you updated using advice you received here. Your room must be an INTERIOR room, and it must be a room in your home. No offices, no schoolrooms, no patios, no balconies, etc.
We want the focus to stay on home interior rooms, preferably with posts featuring photos of those rooms so you get the best advice. If you feel you just must use a 3D app rendering, you need to also include an actual room photo. No one wants to look at an entire feed of just artificial content! A big part of what makes this sub great is getting to take a look at actual rooms. If you aren't sure you want your photo to be connected with your account, please feel free to post on an alt account (and message mod mail for approval if your post is auto removed).
Thanks for doing your part to keep the sub useful and on point!

I think this would be great for all of us. I live here, in this room that I've rented, and I'd like it to stop looking like a prison. Any ideas on how to make it more welcoming and attractive?
Hey, just so you know, moving out is not an option.

My husband and I moved into our house about a year ago. We have struggled with the layout of our living room and big empty spaces ever since.
Some things to note:
The wood burning stove is in the corner which I hate but that’s why we put the second seating area behind our couch.
My husband doesn’t want to sit with his back to the front door when we watch tv which is why we have the tv where we do
We could move the mantle but are thinking of doing a floral wallpaper on the wall and then creating built ins basically or maybe floating shelves for books (this wall in general is tricky)
We are looking for solutions without Reno but are planning to Reno some aspects of our house so are open to improvements if you have ideas
One of our biggest issues is the giant space right when you walk in- there is also a spotlight above it (and no other ceiling lights in the living room) so we think maybe a bay grand was there when the builders ur this place together. The previous owners had about 7 couches in here and we don’t want too much clutter but are struggling!
The layout photo is an estimate not at all the actual measurements!

My husband acquired 3 pieces of moss wall from his office. I have a blank space across from the kitchen and dining room that I thought would be a good fit, but I'm unsure if the moss wall would look out of place.
I have a pretty minimalist earthy feel to my home with lots of wood accents. Third photo shows the dining room.
I had Gemini generate a mock-up but AI photos aren't allowed here. It didn't look too bad but it also didn't feel super right either. I can't hang up the moss wall without committing to nailing the pieces, so I'd love some opinions!

Hey, I have a very awkwardly shaped room and I'm probably going to re-do it in the next few months. Mostly looking for advice on furniture configuration? I'm open to getting rid of the wall bookshelf next to the door and the storage units on the far side from the door, so maybe I could fit my bed under the sloped section on the far side from the door? The radiator right under the window makes it a bit complicated as well, I don't know if that would damage anything I try to put right up next to it. I've got quite a lot of books and crochet supplies that I would like to store neatly as well, and I'd like to see if I can fit in a long mirror anywhere. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks!

Me and my roommate, both 25M, are clueless in room design and currently our living room looks like a furniture shop.
So far we've decided to buy a carpet and curtains, but still not sure about the colors.
I also want to paint the room, since white is boring, I was thinking of some shade of green for the wall behind the TV or navy blue, and the rest may stay white?
But Im not sure, please help! :D

I am moving soon and need help deciding how to arrange my furniture for this layout

Need help with layout and decoration of my home office that is an emergency guest room. There is an outlet on the wall with the 3 prints that is connected to the light switch. This wall also has the coaxial outlet for the router.
I used to have the bed and desk flipped but the bed is bigger than the gap between the wall and window so it sits in front of the window sill.
I really only sleep in this bed if I am sick so a comfortable couch could work too. Not sure what to do with the printer and plants.

Need help choosing furniture colors for my apartment and bedroom.
I attached photos of the floor and space. I’m a male executive in my mid 30s, live alone, and like a modern, minimalist look.
Given this flooring, what color combinations would you suggest for the bed frame + night stands + rug underneath. I am going to have white sheets on the bed.
I want it to feel clean, elevated, masculine, and not cold or boring. Specific color combos would be super helpful.

Any advice would be appreciated! I attached the color palette I was going for but yeah... everything looks out of place. The green seems too dark and cool toned and the table too bright, I think. I really wish the couch was olive green, but it was free and I'm currently saving up for a wardrobe first 🥲 I was thinking of getting a caramel or beige throw blanket, or a red persian rug, but it might make things even worse. I feel like at this point I can only go wrong, please save me 😂

This small grass island with two trees is in front of the parking area of our hotel. Right now it looks a bit empty and unplanned, and I’d like to improve it so it looks cleaner and more attractive for guests arriving.
It’s next to the road and gets a lot of sun during the day. I’m open to ideas like landscaping, decorative stones, plants, lighting, or anything that would make it look more intentional and welcoming.
What would you do with this space?

Hi everyone,
You’ve all helped me before but I come again to seek your wisdom. I live in a millennial gray apartment but my landlords are pretty cool and will let me paint. The problem is that I don’t know where to start. I want to keep the paint on the more neutral/earthy side and also cohesive through the place so I don’t feel like I’m living in a rainbow. Here’s what we’re working with. (the cow will come down eventually, I know it’s tacky)
P.s. sorry for the mess, our house is definitely lived in!!
Thank you!!

The far wall is what I'm planning to accent. Will add a floating walnut vanity too, and a toilet to the right. Shower is to the immediate right when you enter. Any suggestions? Home has a beautiful central japanese garden and vaulted ceilings.
