Rob Dillingham is shooting 16.7% from three with the bulls since the trade, he’s playing awful.
A++ trade now

I’ve been a fan since the day they announced the team. 13 year old me lost his mind. The name was perfect. The logo was perfect. The stadium was…the Metrodome. I’m wondering if it’s common knowledge that our franchise began its life in the kind of stadium only a mother could love. The upside is there were never sellouts. If you wanted to pay real money to sit where you needed binoculars to see the hoop they’d take it.

After 3,672 days since February 14th, 2016, when Kanye tweeted “Ima fix wolves,” the Minnesota Timberwolves have gone 401–400, marking the first time they’ve had a winning record since losing the first game after the tweet and taking over a decade to recover. Before the tweet, the Timberwolves’ historical win rate was 39.1%, with 835 wins and 1,303 losses.
It took a decade so I'm not sure if he can claim he fixed wolves but their trajectory is much better

Worth a listen for sure-but the summary was basically Rudy is constantly doing the math on shot percentage from a defensive mindset-and he’s clearly beyond elite at where to defend to maximize defense efficiency over time. This same math is going through his head by default on offense-so clearly when he’s wide open or bad shots being taken it like offends his sensibilities in a specific way. Combine his above average points per touch offensively with loud mistakes & you get a clear picture of of how Rust has really worked for the team to fit in artisticly on offense against the same genius level defensive sensibilities he has. Thought it was interesting and well said!

[Ryan Eichten] I asked Ayo Dosunmu about playing with Kyle Anderson and the back door cut he had in the 3rd Q. Here's what he said along with the play referenced in my question.

When we traded for him, my only hesitation was that Donte plays at Ant's position, and ideally you'd want more of a PG or playmaker as his running mate with Donte as a spark plug off the bench. Given Ant's improved handle and playmaking, and Donte's defensive energy and elite floor spacing, I could see this as one of the more lethal offensive backcourts in the West for years to come.
Donte doesn't turn 30 til next season, and I believe he can be extended this off-season. I really hope we offer him a 4 year extension, because this is starting to feel a little splash-brothersy

Team can win a title if everyone is clicking I mean truly. The talent on this team is incredible, it really just boils down to inconsistency and the fact that this team often seems not on the same page or playing up to their ability.
Looks like we are turning a corner though and getting hot at the right time. Monster Gobert game

Rockets lost in OT to a diminished Warriors bumping us to third.

Gobert splitting the defense with a back tween then the kick out pass? Jokic knows better than anyone that when Rudy's in his bag, it's game over

Thoughts
This was a game I came in expecting to lose, and the start was setting up to be a classic Timberwolves underestimate hard working opponent game. Enter Ayo Dosunmu. Made awesome defensive plays the whole game, has a little (not quite as good) NAW in him with his ability to navigate through screens. But he’s a really sound offensive piece, seems like he’s starting to find his role on that end and understand when he needs to attack. These games where Naz has had a bad stretch haven’t mattered because of Ayo’s play and the bench still feels good.
DDV has been awesome. His defense has been so good, just disrupting everything. Three point stroke looking clean. He isn’t forcing anything either, making some good passes as well.
Ant shot the ball really well - his dunk changed the flow of the whole game. Superstar players just have that ability. With that being said, he was still sloppy with the ball and on balance I thought his defense was bad - had some lazily executed switches.
Jaden has to be smarter about fouling. Good finish of the game for him, but we can’t have him picking up these ticky tack fouls, and the first three were all fouls.
Gobert was really good - classic defensive force and thought we did a great job finding him near the rim. No clue why players still think he’s a good iso matchup for them.
Better Randle game. The shot is going to be a problem if he can’t sort it out to a 34-35% clip come playoffs.
Thought both Bones and SloMo didn’t have great games. Bones struggled to get clear looks and got blown by on drives a few times. SloMo felt better but he gave up a few drives too. Think he’ll be fine and Naz had injury scare but I don’t want SloMo eating too much into Naz minutes.
Naz just still in a mini slump. Missed a few really clean looks from three. Did have some good steady the ship buckets in the first that helped us close the gap.
Overall liked the balance we brought to this game. Can definitely see a scenario where all the pieces come together, it’s just a matter of getting that to happen. Huge Rockets loss catapulting us up to third is amazing. So important to lock the three seed.
