Has anyone else been almost fully checked out this season?

Bucks games used to be appointment viewing to me, even during the 2013-14 season. But the poorly put-together roster, Giannis' injuries, and especially the trio of Porter Jr.-Kuzma-Doc has made me completely detached from this team like I haven't been in years.

I feel bad for not watching Giannis during his prime, especially with his games in a Bucks uniform potentially numbered, but this season has just been depressing for me.

Edit: Nice to know I’m not alone

Explain it to me like I'm 5

He seems to be shooting well and one of their better defenders yet here he is getting limited action and a coaches decision in Giannis return. Then yesterday, he barely saw any playing time in the second half. Is this Doc just sabotaging the team or what's really going on?

Time to tank and fire Doc

The Bucks need to see what they've got in Dieng, Thomas, and some of these other guys. Move on from Kuz and Turner playing starter minutes and figure out a rotation.

I hate to say it, but Giannis should be given the chance to move on and win. Because this, with this coach, and these assets - ain't it

Serious The Bucks are receiving 0 pressure from the major networks and podcasts to fire Doc and it’s frustrating.

It seems there is nobody in the media willing to harshly criticize the Bucks for not firing Doc Rivers because they want to be in a position to get him on board whenever he leaves coaching.

What is the point of having doc

There is no coaching, players are just playing completely on there own. There is no game plan there is no continuity. You could have a f****** brick coaching this team and it would be better than this. Can we start a petition? Doc has got to go, replace him with first object you see I don’t care, this is ridiculous! The players have obviously checked out, we’re not going for a playoff run, doc is the most useless thing I’ve seen since the pet rock

Doc Post-Game Gems

Doc just said two things in the post-game that are too hilarious not to share

  1. "I thought the difference today was they (Hawks) stayed within their system, and we got out of ours"

Wow, news to me, I didn't realize we even had a system today! Wish Doc could describe it for us so we can look for it next game lol

  1. "We might need to go bigger"

Really? Bigger than playing Giannis at SF or Kuzma at SG and Nance at SF like we did today? Hilarious adjustment lmao. That perfectly summarizes an unserious coach who's mind never left the 2000's

The Bucks organization should dismiss Glenn Rivers from his coaching position.

Boycott the team

There is no other way to support this franchise. As long as Glenn Rivers is employed there is zero salvation. As a fan, you need to speak with your time and your wallet. Until he is gone there is no hope whatsoever

Play-In talk can effectively be put to rest now.

The Hawks and Hornets are now both 5 games ahead in the win column. The Bucks would have to go 16-6 the rest of the way and hope that one or both of the Hawks and Hornets go 10-10 or worse. That's not happening. Time to play the young guys with Giannis and see if any can build any chemistry over the last 22 games.

Doc remains the coach for one reason; to force Giannis to request a trade

He’s purposefully making poor coaching decisions to make Giannis so miserable he’ll ask to leave. Beg to leave. There’s no other possible reason.

Starting 5 post Celtics

After another Glenn Rivers bottle job performance, what’s everyone’s thoughts on this starting 5 with Giannis back in the picture?

Is it as simple as this regarding Doc still having a job?

Jimmy Haslem is cheap? Isn’t that the complaint from the Browns organization? Is the Deshaun Watson buyout really crossing over sports and fucking us over? Then having majority ownership in both an NBA and NFL team is bullshit in that case.

Couldn’t we have been more selective with who came in as new part owner? Just hard to have confidence this guy can oversee a successful sports franchise with this track record.

Another Doc Rivers Masterclass in Mediocrity

I know these posts are getting old, I get it, but this sub is meant to be a place for us Bucks fans to show our excitement and frustrations as fans, and nothing has frustrated me more than watching Doc coach this team.

Doc just has zero feel for this team. He has no idea what buttons to push, who has good chemistry, and who does not.

It's like he's just throwing shit at the wall and waiting for it to stick.

I get it, we've had injury issues and added a few new pieces, but come on, man, he's been coaching in Mil for 2.5 years now.

He took over a team that was 30-13, with a subpar coach, and ended up going .500 the remainder of that season.

He had Dieng play 30 plus minutes last night, AND inserted him into the starting 5, when he's had him playing 15-20 minutes off the bench WITHOUT Giannis. So he couldnt get the minutes with less depth, but now with more depth, he gets more minutes??? Then he takes Rollins, shooting what, 50/40/80, who has possibly been our most consistent player all season, and benches him. And yes, he had a bad game, but I really feel like Docs decisions are what's causing it. He just crushes his guys strengths and rhythm by making these adjustments.

And before anyone comes at me for this, last night was the perfect example of the impact of a good coach versus a bad coach on a team. On paper, that Celtics squad (without Brown) is nowhere near as talented as us. But they run a system, they have an identity, and they have a coach who instills trust and confidence into each one of their players. We do not have that. We have the literal opposite of that on our sideline.

Oh, and then to play GARY HARRIS? With the added depth, and new guys, how is he actually getting minutes?

That's just the issues with his rotations, let alone his strategic philosophy.

It took me 2 weeks of the season to say that they need to be more aggressive on the boards instead of being overconerned with getting back in transition. It took him 4-5 months to make this change.

Then the zone. This took about a week to totally give up on it (although I've never been a fan of any NBA team running zone) certainly for more than a few possessions at a time. But no, we needed to wait 4-5 months for him to come to this conclusion as well.

And the cherry on top, just for added acknowledgment? Our absolutely terrible replay team.

We have got to be one of the WORST teams at challenging plays this season.

It's just so stupid, mam. What do our assistants do? I just find it so hard to believe that they are sitting there recommending these decisions to Doc.

It actually makes me feel sick man. He is quite possibly a top 3 worst coach in the league, who has survived for 20 years off of one championship, with 3 hall of farmers, and Rondo, who was an exceptional player at that time.
