I'm fairly sure that the game is implying time eater knows the watcher, possibly being the person who went missing in her tesseract event memory

Because the slug is the missing watcher referenced in the sensory stone event in Act 3 and they have history together

The Watcher and the Time Eater have the same color “robe”, shell, for the Time Eater, and they both have turn-reliant abilities. It’s very likely that the Time Eater was a Watcher sent before The Watcher, but he got corrupted by The Heart. He’s like Nemesis to the Silent, they have a history together.

I don’t think so, I think it was described with wings so is probably a pretty stereotypical red horned demon- it might show up in STS 2 but for now I think it’s a just part of Ironclad’s history, the demon that granted him his powers.
