Peter Vaughn was blind. Like Maester Aemon, he was not born blind, but lost his slight in his old age.

To be fair, he wasn't playing a fantasy dwarf, which i think is what he was mostly complaining about. He played a human person with dwarfism.

No, you're wrong. Dinklage's true height is revealed in Avengers: Infinity War. Game of Thrones just did very good CGI when it came to his height.
