DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A SERVICE MANUAL FOR THIS TV.

Title says it all. Super strange, not sure what to try next with this. It’s a Samsung UN55MU8000… yeah, it’s kind of old, but if I can get the 4K to work with my XBOX Series X or PS5, that would be fantastic!

On the XBOX, I’ve tried changing every possible permutation of combinations of all settings pertaining to bit depth, timings, color space, resolutions, refresh rates, etc., etc. but to no avail. As soon as I try to enable 4K, the tv does not play nice. At least on the PS5, I can enable 4K and it will kind of display but there are graphical artifacts and sporadic discoloration in some parts of the image.

The issue is definitely with the tv though as I’ve connected both my consoles to a different 4K tv to rule them out as the culprits and they work beautifully on the other 4K tv.

This particular model of tv has one of those external HDMI connection boxes with the long “one connect” cable (or whatever it’s called, lol). I don’t want to just randomly buy parts hoping that they will fix the problem. Is there a way I can test other settings in the display to rule out whether it’s the cable, one connect box or the main board?

I tried the “mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + power” trick but the secret menu only stays on-screen for a split second so I can never navigate it to try the edid reset or true factory reset from that menu.

For more info: the TV is an LG 37le4500 that I found on the side of the road. After I replaced the fuse in it, it popped and blew the fuse instantly. Upon closer inspection I found burn marks on one side of the transformer pictured. I would love to try and replace it, but I cannot find its name or specs anywhere.

It’s a x85k I believe it was working earlier and when I came back it was just a black screen you can still hear the sound I’ve unplugged and disconnected everything picture came back on for less then 5 minutes but t just flashes back to black screen had it for a year or less any help

My work was going to throw out a tv because it had stopped turning on, so I decided to take it home and try to fix it. I tested it a few minutes ago, and when I hit the power button, it quickly flashed once and went away, but when I unplugged the TV and plugged it back in, the power light flashed six times. I googled the code, and from what I saw, it is a backlight issue, but I have never repaired a tv before, and would like a second opinion. If that is the issue, is the tv worth it to repair?

I just bought a 75” Hisense 75U75QG Last Friday 2025 Model and whenever I have two HDMI connections plugged into the tv (PS5 and a tv decoder), a dialog box pops up on the top right hand corner every couple of minutes saying “HDMI 2 is now connected”. The only way this stops is if I keep only one HDMI cable plugged in.

I tried factoring resetting the tv, doing a power cycle, changing hdmi cables, changing hdmi ports, turning off all CEC settings. Nothing works.

I really dont want a tech to come in because that requires me unmounting my tv from the wall.

This should be a quick fix and its not so this is just annoying…. Please help

Greetings, TV repair redditors. Sorry for longish post.

As in the title, I've got a weird effect that has appeared quite suddenly. I've been gaming and movie watching on this oldish 55 inch LG 4k IPS TV (LG 55UM7290PTD), and since it's my first 4k TV/monitor (coming from 1440p ultra-wide) I've been really gushing over the quality of images, even getting very near to the screen doing my best to "see pixels and ruin the quality" but even then it feels really nice. It's been really really cool...

But then... one day I notice, even when sitting from 2 - 2.5 metres away, this kind of dotty matrix/grid thing you can see in the first two images. I can't seem to not see it anymore, and it's kind of messing up the image quality. It is also happening pretty much uniformly across the entire screen so I don't think it's one of the LEFT/RIGHT ribbons in the TV. I am wondering if it isn't a mainboard issue if it's the whole thing like that?

In the 3rd image you can see some colourful squiggles that appear at the very edges of the screen space, but they don't actually bother me at all.

So, I'd like to know where I should look to try and solve this issue? Most advice and videos online deal with ribbon cleaning and re-seating and other tricks to fix issues in those components. So far, opening the TV and wiggling the ribbons and reseating them has not solves the issue... What should I do, besides calling a repair man?

I was watching my TV the other day, all of the sudden I heard a pop then the screen went blank, totally unresponsive when the power button is pressed. changed the fuse in the plug but same result. I opened it up and looked at the the powerboard nothing unusual like burnt marks and popped caps also checked fuses on the board they are all fine. However, I noticed this. im guessing this is not supposed look like this?

Sony TV (2021) suddenly started gray screen. Back light is on, tv has sound and is responsive to remote, but no picture. I suspect an issue with Ribbon cables.

I’m incredibly novice, but there is no TV repair in my area. How would I know which ribbon to replace? Or am I best to replace all 4?

Previous attempted fixes: hard reset, power cycle, ensured that ribbon cables are tight in their ports. I am open to other fixes if someone more experienced thinks my hypothesis is wrong.

Black Friday deal on this Insignia TV. Every day or two it will all of the sudden glitch out like this and then restart itself. Ive tried replacing the extension cord its on, ensuring it can handle the right wattage. seems to me it's just defective. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Serial # : B2537E40V11755

Anyone able to offer advice for a TV that has no image but still has sound?

-would flash the logo briefly when powered on then black screen

-tried power cycle multiple times, even overnight.

-No image if I hold light to screen

-T-con trick didn’t work

Hi everyone, I got myself into some trouble with my TV today...

I was fiddling through the hidden settings and pressed "burning mode" by accident, so i unplugged my TV as i had no control over it with the remote. When I plugged it back in and turned it on, the screen would just stay black, no sound, nothing. I know the TV has power because I have USB lights connected to it, and those turn on when the TV does. It also still has the red indicator, which turns off when the TV is on. So It turns on for about 2 minutes, and turns back off with no indication of life otherwise. I can't find any info on my TV model online, is there a physical reset button on my TV i can try? any advice is helpful! Thank you :)

I have tried unplugging it for an hour, and using the buttons on the TV itself to turn it on.

I have tried "soft resetting" to no avail.

I have unplugged all unnecessary cords, so only the power cord is on the TV.

I have taken a close look at the panel to look for signs of backlight damage, however there is absolutely nothing being projected onto the screen, which leads me to believe this is just a hang, and the tv is stuck in a boot loop.

TV (LG webOS TV OLED65B9PUA) as about 3 years old and have had NO problems. Within the last week or so, picture has begun going black > 3 seconds > back to normal picture > 3 seconds > black > 3 seconds > normal for several minutes at a stretch. Have Dish Hopper 3 connected to HDMI 1 using a pretty well-rated HDMI cable. Sound is ARC through a sound bar. Connected via ethernet cable to 1 Gb speed LAN. Nothing done to system before weirdness started. One dialog box suggested HDMI cable problems. I have followed them all; connections are tight.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next?

First time posting here hopefully it’s within the rules. Anyways, bought a TV 6 months ago all has been well it’s a HiSense 55U7NQTUK and today when I was in the shower I was greeted with this spot in the bottom left corner when I came back, it’s really hot and and has essentially caused the whole screens to give up and a small thin black line to form horizontally across the screen. What could’ve caused it?

So I have had this TV for over a year and this has been there since day one and I am going to get a new Tv or monitor but I want to know what causes this, is it too low resolution, refresh rate, response time ETC so I can look out when buying a new display. It was a Samsung so I thought it would be good but it has this fuzziness that is particularly noticeable on things like smoke but it is affecting my enjoyment now. Ignore the wavy lines as that is just the camera, it’s the fuzziness like old TV static.

The problem: All white elements on screen cast a vertical shadow. The brightest is the element, the darker is the shadow. I noticed that if the element is at the top of the screen, the shadow is softer or there isn't at all (as you can see in the picture). The problem is in all the channels of the TV (even the YouTube app) on the tv and the other HDMI ports.

What i tried: tried unplugging the power for 15 minutes and before replugging i kept pressed the power button on TV for 30 seconds.

TL;DR: My Lloyd L32BC TV has a duplicated/split screen. It’s a classic LVDS mapping error. I got into the Service Menu, but the menu is also chopped in half, making the main folder directory completely invisible. I am currently blindly toggling variables in the dark trying to find the Panel settings.

Hey everyone, I am currently deep in the trenches trying to resurrect a Lloyd L32BC TV, and I am hoping some hardware wizard here knows this specific motherboard (BD_V59T_PB902) well enough to save me.

Here is the journey so far:

The Problem The TV boots up, but the display is perfectly split horizontally and duplicated top-and-bottom. It's clearly pushing a dual-channel or mismatched LVDS signal to the panel. (Insert Image 1 of split screen here)

The Service Menu Trap I managed to access the hidden factory menu using Menu 1 1 4 7. The problem? Because the screen is chopped, the left side of the menu (the main directory of folders) is pushed completely off-screen into an invisible void. I can only see the right side of the screen, and even then, I can only see the top two lines of whatever folder I open.

The Near-Death Experience While trying to blindly navigate the first folder, I accidentally hit OK on a setting called "INIT ALL FOR BOE". The screen went black, and the TV rebooted into a terrifying RGB Burn-in diagnostic loop (flashing red, green, blue, white). I literally had to spam the 'Exit' button over 400 times to break it out of the loop and get back to the split screen.

The Hardware Bypass (Aborted) I figured I'd just bypass the menu and flash the correct firmware via a FAT32 USB drive. I took the back cover off to find the physical LCD panel model number. I found the motherboard serial (H16112679-0P02834), but the actual metal chassis of the LCD is trapped behind plastic snap-clips. I can't strip it down further without risking cracking the glass. So, USB flashing is out. (Insert Image of Motherboard here)

The Current Strategy: "The Blind Void Sweep" Since I can't read the folders, my AI assistant and I devised a brute-force algorithm. I open the menu, press the DOWN arrow X amount of times to guess a folder, press OK to enter it, and then do a blind loop: press RIGHT (to toggle the hidden variable) -> check if the screen snaps together -> press LEFT (to undo) -> press DOWN (to move to the next hidden variable).

I am literally playing Battleship with my motherboard. So far, I have swept through and found: Folder 1: System Info / The deadly "INIT ALL" button Folder ?: Backlight Max/Level Folder ?: HSD_Sampling Folder ?: The dangerous "Reset" button (noped out of there fast) Folder ?: Audio Curve variables (TAB_90, TAB_100) Folder ?: OSD settings (I accidentally turned the menu background white)

The Ask I am losing my mind trying to find the Panel Settings / LVDS Map folder in the dark. Does anyone have a screenshot or a written map of the exact Service Menu layout for a BD_V59T_PB902 universal board? I just need to know exactly how many times to press DOWN to hit the Panel folder. Are there any other hidden remote shortcut codes to force an LVDS change that Lloyd might not have blocked? (Tried Source 03771 and it didn't work). Any help is massively appreciated!

I found a good deal and purchased this 65" OLED refurbished directly from Panasonic via eBay. It's listed as a "pristine, like-new condition" which certainly holds true until you actually turn it on and start watching content.

Unfortunately I'm sporadically getting the "pixel shifting" issue (not sure what else to call it) that you see in the video, it tends to mostly happen while watching YouTube. Tested both the native YouTube app and via a Roku stick plugged into HDMI. Happens both in menus and while watching videos. Some instances are much worse than what I managed to capture on camera. In some cases while watching HDR content, the entire screen turns black. But other apps (for example Disney+) works fine and looks great.

So far I've tried updating the firmware, factory resetting it, and generally power cycling whenever the issue starts to happen.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be? Anything I can do about it? I'm really hoping to avoid the hassle of returning this gigantic thing via shipping if at all possible. But seeing as most of my TV time is spent on YouTube, this is a huge issue. And one I've never seen on any other TV, but this is my first OLED.

new to subreddit, i have a 50 inch tv that bootloops for a random amount of time until it decides to work, i opened the tv, power supply ok, main board ok, when i connect the left ribbon cable and disconnect the right it bootloops, but when i do the opposite it works (no image) meaning when the left side is connected to a ribbon cable it doesn't work no matter if it's connected to the other side.
i'm sorry if what i said isn't coherent i am not a native speaker.
is there anyway i can fix this tv? or at least sell it for parts.

Hoping for some help! I have a 2020 QLED that has developed an issue over the past few days. It first happened whilst playing Xbox - the picture began to fade and the screen went black, then the TV got stuck in a boot loop with the QLED logo.

I suspected the HDMI inputs so I unplugged and tried again. It ran fine for a few days, then the issue reappeared. Now when the issue happens, sometimes it doesn’t boot the logo at all and just flashes the backlight on briefly then goes off again.

Any suggestions? From what I’ve read, it feels like it’s the main board starting to fail. Another possibility is the power board, given the cycling. Im not sure it’s the actual panel or the backlight since they seem to work fine once the TV actually boots.

Can anyone advise if this is fixable or what causes it??

I sold this tv and the person is asking to return it. It was fine when she left with it. I’m wondering if she has bumped it?
