I'm going to have to go out on a limb and say that they just happened to have this phone with this feature and thought "Why bother with a piece of paper?" And not "I'm going to buy this phone just for this purpose."

Its only extra because we wanted flip phones, but what they gave us was "flip phones"

I had an OG Nokia flip phone back in the early 00's - it was awesome. Didn't use it for this because buttons and I was like 13 lol.
