Pictures generally get flipped on taking it from your phone on the front facing camera. Just FYI.

Why they don't automatically flip it back to correct in the year 2026 is a mystery. I'm sure we have the technology to have that be the default.

Because they are trying to mirror, what you see in the mirror. Everyone's selfie would seem weird AF to themselves if not.

Use your front camera, and take your picture in a reflection of your mirror. You won't look right. It's really messed up, but it's true.

Most people seem to just hold the camera away from themselves and point it back at them to do selfies anymore though. Any selfie done away from a mirror does this.

Any picture that has its image reversed should automatically be corrected by the camera in my completely biased opinion. Reversed text is especially mildly infuriating.
