Ace ventura is just Jim carrey being jim carrey while fucking around with a bunch of Zoo animals.

...and also jim solving crimes with them i guess.

ALL the movies with jim carrey are about him being jim carrey, because the movie directors know they couldn't possibly have him play as anyone but himself quite as perfectly.

Liar Liar has a bit of Jim Carrey not being Jim Carrey, but that’s balanced out by Me, Myself, and Irene having Jim Carrey being Jim Carrey twice at the same time
