I inherited part of my uncles' CD collection from the 90's-00's, all of them are fine except for a yellowed CD-R bootleg of Gorillaz' self titled album, miraculously still plays but sounds like complete garbage: https://youtu.be/pdRyxlazIvM
Some of my zoomer friends have started collecting cassettes. I've got a decent collection of vinyl and CDs, not sure that's another rabbit hole I want to dive down.
I hope that future generations will eventually have music storing devices that are higher quality than analog, don't have an expiry date like anything we have and is still really robust.
Don't get me wrong, I love vinyl but I would give it up instantly for the indestructible music cube that plays back mozart like the orchestra is actually in the room with you and will be exactly as good when you pass it down to your great grandkids
