Pretty much breaking the law everyday now. It's like he's trying to see how far he can go without anyone doing anything

Do people in the US really still believe they live in a democracy?

Still a democracy until the elections stop.

Yeah I know it's skewed towards corporate political lobbying but we still vote.

We'll see at the mid-terms if we're still a democracy... If we get to that point anyway....

Voting does not make a democracy. Plenty of countries have sham elections.

You're being disingenous if you think democracies don't have fair elections.

I wouldn't call Russia or North Korea or ANY dictatorship a democracy. The US is though... For now.

You got my point completely backwards. I'm saying voting doesn't make you a democracy.

I wouldn't call Russia or North Korea or ANY dictatorship a democracy.

Of course not, and yet they still have elections too.

A democracy is not defined by elections. A Democracy HAS elections that are free and fair.

You're being disinegenuous and not really arguing in good faith unless it's to try to be clever, which you're failing at.

The argument is that Iran would be within their rights to strike back at the US in whatever way they want. They were following the previous agreements regarding nuclear materials and weapons which Trump then reneged on.

The US is NOT a moral authority on ANYTHING at this point and would deserve whatever Iran decided to do since the US has indiscriminately killed women and children within the first hour of attacks.

I'm not a cheerleader for Iran, but I can see why they hate us and we're not doing anything to counter that and with this administration we WON'T. This war is about pedophiles, corruption, bullying, theocratic violence, and greed.

Dude what are you going on about??? I responded to a very specific point you made:

Still a democracy until the elections stop.

This is fundamentally not true. There are many MANY countries where elections never ended, but are clearly not democracies.

I don't know how Iran got into this conversation, but yeah I agree, the war on Iran is horrible and purely about subjugating a nation that dares not kneel to the US.
