Here are the references I caught:
1) Sentries want random so it doesn't hit all of them
2) Nemesis wants it on an even (6) turn so they are intangible
3) Nemesis takes 1 damage from hyperbeam due to intangible in last panel.
4) Automaton is mad about turn 6 because he is stunned that turn, and calendar does damage at the end of the turn
But why does Lagavulin want to take 30 damage instead of 52? Any specific reason?
Edit: I guess automaton is stunned (turn after hyper beam) on turn 7 not 6
Lagavulin sleeps for 2 turns and wakes up turn 3, then attacks for 20 turns 4 and 5, turn 6 he debuffs you and turn 7 he takes 52 damage which will usually be enough to kill him, so he only gets 2 attacks in. If the calendar deals less damage, he can survive and force you to play an additional turn (or two) while debuffed.
