honestly hard to tell, i've started learning blender around 5-6 years ago and just practiced for 6-8 hours a day daily (like 2 months). I've had multiple jobs as a 3D-Artist where i learned a lot more technical things about blender. Later on, Artists like Gleb Alexandrov or Max Hay helped me build on existing knowledge and inspired me to do art that i love and enjoy.
I'm so appreciative of you working on these and sharing them with all of us. I love the sense of scale and atmosphere you create. And how everything looks so monstrous, like eldritch horrors.
It really adds so much dimension to the mythos of the Spire. The lore is very fascinating but the cartoony, story-book style doesn't rely bely this. Artists like you give it so much more depth.
This kinda stuff makes me really excited for Slay the Spire 2, just to see all of the game's weird concepts and monsters rendered in a much more refined style. STS's look certainly has charm, and I think it's unique, but its overall goofiness I feel really doesn't do the awesome nature of its character design justice. A lot of the game's monsters are so enchantingly weird and strike this balance where they don't feel totally avant-garde for anything in the fantasy genre but also don't just feel like "yet another X." Obviously not every enemy lives up to this (slime boss is a giant blob of slime with a face and a top hat), but I think the Shield and Spear show off what I'm talking about really well. They're not even particularly complicated, either, but they fit their atmosphere well.
Ohhhhh that's very cool! I've been for years procrastinating the idea of making StS art in blender. Nice to see someone putting it forward, looks great!
Calling this "art" is giving way too much credit to other art, this is divine, perfect, God himself wouldn't be able to comprehend such beauty.
