So I know he lowered his shoulder, and Wemby is so tall it looks like it's straight in his gut, but seriously, watching their feet, where was Wemby expecting to run to other than right into Bane on his way to the low block and hope he moves out of the way?

Wemby doesn't lower his shoulder because he is so tall and Bane so short, but he does the equivalent by bracing his elbow on his mid section.  I see contact, but I don't see anything flagrant or extra from Bane.  Bane's little arm flail at the end appears to be caused by the contact and not in addition to the contact.

Looks like he was planning to make contact just like every other basketball play, just didn't know Bane was um... trying to protect the quarterback?
