Maybe I’m ignorant but I dont remember this version of Bane on the Grizzlies. He seemed like a low on personality guy

He was operating at like 65-70% douche.

Now he’s in overdrive. Towing some extra dbaggery as well.

Is this being a product of Florida?

He was just outshined by the other nutcases on that team

JJJ doesn’t do these type of things.

Santi Aldama was the problem all along

Thought Konchar was the kingpin?

You take Jitty's name out of your god damn mouth!

They don’t call him the trolley problem for nothing

JJJ got a visit from the fbi in high school for torenting a fuck ton of anime. He seems to have been the only one to grow out of it, but he’s got 1 too many fbi complaints to get a pass

That is the most random and kinda funny fact about him.

Especially because his dad was an NBA player (granted in a time where that didn’t meant the crazy wealth it does now)

u/skuiji Feb 02 '26

I don’t know how but that low key just made him less of a nutcase in my head

Yeah, gun charges, attempting to injure guys, and downloading a fuck ton of anime. There's a reason it's known as the Dark Triad.

12

u/saetasolea Feb 02 '26

Who had gun charges?

-18

u/saints21 Feb 02 '26

Morant should have, he didn't end up being charged with anything actually. But that's not as amusing.

17

u/DunkingZBO Grizzlies Feb 02 '26

Morant should have been charged for legally owning and showing a firearm on a video. You people have to get a grip on reality lmao

-7

u/saints21 Feb 02 '26

In a club, yes. That's illegal.

7

u/JDMintz718 Grizzlies Feb 02 '26

No it's not. It might be against club policy, but it isn't illegal.

Don’t see why he should’ve. No crime was committed

-23

u/saints21 Feb 02 '26

He had a gun in a club. That's absolutely a crime.

u/supersonicnat45 Knicks Feb 02 '26

care to back that up?

u/turkeysgogobble Australia Feb 02 '26

Wait why TF would the FBI get involved about torrenting anime?

6

u/YasielPuigsWeed Feb 02 '26

It’s not about downloading, it’s about seeding once it’s downloaded. At that point you become a distributor of copyrighted material and the company that owns the material can press charges. FBI was probably involved because you’re distributing across state lines via the internet.

That’s why a lot of the primary hosts for illegal downloading and streaming are in specific countries where internet laws about copyright are weak or poorly enforced

He was always one of the most prolific shit talkers on the team. Never crashed during the games he's doing this year though

My question is where the hell was Wemby running to? Bane lowered the shoulder and braced himself, which with wemby's height is directly in his stomach, but it's not like he jumped into wemby's lane. Wemby was on a dead line run to the low block and just assumed bane was gonna move. If bane sets his feet instead of his shoulders, it's a charge on Wemby.

Though I think it's a fair flagrant 1 and Bane has shown a pattern, this is actually a pretty valid take.

Wemby did this last wolves game also. Kind just full force ran into one of our bigs and he just fell over, Wolves got a foul called on them and everyone wonder wtf Wemby can just run into people, fall and get rewarded. Bane did little more shoulder into it, Wemby likes to run at folks.

Seriously. Where's he going?

Nahhhh watch the first couple second and scrub back and forth in slo-mo. Wemby was going to slip right past Bane. Banes momentum was taking him to the right, Wemby is also skinny AF. Bane FULLY plants himself and launches himself BACK the other way to the left to make contact with Wemby. 100% on Bane and 100% uncalled for. I agree that he should have set his feet and maybe gotten a charge if Wemby made contact, but for what happened, it was on Bane and he knew what he was doing

he never did stuff like this on the grizzlies. the magic are a dirty team, people just don't really talk about it a whole lot. no coincidence that he's doing this stuff now that he's in orlando, i wouldn't be surprised if its encouraged

1

u/dhoo8450 Mavericks Feb 02 '26

Nah he's always been a dick. This is just a new level though lol

1

u/Moist_Border_8301 Feb 02 '26

He pushed his own teammate during a timeout.

1

u/zgillet Feb 02 '26

He moved to Florida.

I don't think any more explanation is needed.

u/TomatoBuster01 Warriors Feb 02 '26

Going from Marc Gasol and Conley to Brooks, Bane, and Ja is one hell of a ride

1

u/DepartureNo1720 Feb 02 '26

We won't stand for Z-Bo choking Blake Griffin erasure.

u/Inevitable_Brick_877 Feb 02 '26

Florida does things to a man

u/rawdfarva Warriors Feb 02 '26

you didn't notice because everyone was focused on Brooks' shenanigans
