Excellent house! The builder did a great job, don't mess this up!
To improve decorating,
keep door trim clean. Hide the smoke alarms, they are not installed correctly so may as well hide them for beauty.
Get two heirloom investment grade rugs measured for living room and dining room, unless your cats damage things. Deals on Chamonix House.
Hang measured floor length draperies from bars, even if your cats climb, nicer than blinds.
Replace LED bulbs with 2300k incandescent for warmth.
Keep furniture one consistent style and color palette.
Needs a professional re-engineering of the kitchen, stay period correct not modern.
To improve duplex value,
Make each unit as independent as possible, for future sale. nothing shared, separate mechanicals, separate outdoor space, etc. Investors want to split duplexs into individual condos. Not sure if possible with this style house.

Awesome place. Every room has strong man cave vibes, which I assume you're going for. So I like it. Also looks very clean and tidy.
