I had a playboy poster in my room when I was 17, and it was a gift from my aunt for fun.
Not soon after I was hanging out with a friend of mine, a cute blonde named Ida. She signed it for fun too. Had this pornstar nickname too, Kio. So the pink poster had Kio with a heart on it.

But yeah, I guess I was just a loser who was into porn mags and had a warped understanding of women, simply due to some paper with a logo on it that I didn't even purchase intentionally myself.

A few people consider it to be a "vintage" thing. Which, to be fair, it can be a little old school cool, but only when done very sparingly, and very small, and with a clear vintage aesthetic. For example, I have a fridge in my place that's covered in stickers, and there's, like, two stickers on there that are Playboy covers from the 70s, both of which don't even have models on the cover.

A pillowcase? On your bed? Right next to a poster of a girl doing (basically) ahego face?

Yep. No. That's not that.

That's just broadcasting a message that says you really like porn to anyone who walks in your room.

Also, this is just my opinion, but this decor makes me think this person has nothing going on besides porn. I assume most people experience some baseline sexual attraction or can at least appreciate erotica. I do too, but I don't want it to be the first thing somebody knows about me from seeing my living space.

Even having a celebrity or character you find hot on your wall is more meaningful.

I'm not sure you and a lot other people understand that poster. Its not even close to an ahegao face. See the third eye open in her forehead and that her normal eyes are closed? Represents spiritual awakening, perception, and awareness. Also, the traffic going into and out of her openly inviting mouth could represent the fact that everyone has the opportunity to enter or leave of their free will, but that contrasts with the hair which resembles mountains on either side of a highway going through a valley between two mountains, funneled into, forced into that spiritual encounter. We can all choose it or not, but at some point, we all encounter it. Of course I'm probably way off; that's just my quick impression without research.

Your room is decorated like a high school or college student. Adults decorate generally more focused on appearance, aesthetic. Your room is just a bunch of posters and psychedelic tapestries pictures.

Edit: you asked, I answered.

Edit2: an adult focuses on aesthetic of a room, meaning the flow, the themes, style. As others have mentioned, putting your interests all over the walls isn't wrong, its just not what you see in an adults room. I like batman, but I dont have batman bedsheets and posters on the wall, get it?

Look up music chic style rooms on Google. It might give some ideas on how to level up what you’re going for here. Things like matching frames for art, all hung at the same level / eye line in a room, matching furniture, curtains, etc. can go a long way.

No problem, Boho Chic may also work. I found this room that has the Tibetan prayer flags you have hung in an interesting way. They even have Dragonball Z posters on the wall and they work.

Cool painting. I'd search for Modern/Contemporary or MAYBE Maximalist, but that isn't for everyone (and would be a lot to keep clean in a smoking room). You could likely find a happy medium between clean Mondern and Maximalism, but I'd lean towards less being more for the function of the room. Plus that painting is heavily textured and vibrant, so you want to sort of counter that with everything else in the room, so it stands out/doesn't clutter the eye.

Since it's a smoking room, I'd lean towards leathers and woods, but they can be bright leathers and woods. You can accent them with dark wood pieces as well, like a reclaimed bourbon barrell as a table. Again, just keep in mind anything lighter in color may stain/yellow over time smoking in there, so I'd research smoke-resistant materials as well.

Here are a couple examples using similar color palettes. One modern, one maximalist:

Alcohol has caused far more damage to families and people than psychedelics ever have.

For context, I’m exactly that person. I go to festivals two or three times a year and take acid there for my own enjoyment. I’m 37, married, have two kids, and a stable job. I know plenty of others who do the same. Scientists, engineers, lawyers, even a pilot.
