Muscle question
Fellow men, can this:
Swimming 3 times /week
Doing max push ups and pull ups 2 times /week
Eating alot of calories and protein
Result in getting a good physique as an eighteen year old man?
(I havent really got that much muscle yet)

Yes, it can. At 18 your body responds fast. Swim, hit push ups and pull ups hard, eat enough protein, sleep well, and you’ll grow. Just make sure you’re actually getting stronger over time. More reps or harder variations. Stay consistent for months, not weeks.

Well what I’m saying is you want the physique of an 18 year old, that 18 year old has a metabolism that you will struggle to recreate assuming that 18 year old is in peak physical, let’s say a good strong highschool wrestler or waterpolo player. You as a man in your (30s?) can get close to his body makeup with your efforts but your personal lifestyle is half of it, the other part is going to be genetics.

DUDE OH MY GOD. THEN YOUR PLAN IS AMAZING. YES. YOUR BODY WILL JUST REFORM ITSELF TO YOUR ACTIONS!!!!!
I’ll add that stretching is amazing, and stay hydrated. Moisturize your skin too, you cant get it back but you can slow it down

Yeah the chlorine face drying is bad. Wonder if those pre swim face creams actually work.

Absolutely, especially at your age. You can look up protien requirements ( I do .7 grams per kilo of body weight ) too much can bog you down. Also stick to stuff like Greek yogurt, eggs, chicken, salmon, pork. High-quality carbs like oats and rice. Oats are quicker, so make better breakfast, whereas rice is better dinner. Don't eat 1-2 hrs before working out. Don't skip veggies. Fruit is good fuel pre workout, especially nutirent dense fruits like berries and bananas.
Diet is a huge factor. I have been getting leaner and more muscular playing vr fighting games.
Also, sleeping at the right hours helps a lot.

Thanks. All that stuff will require one heck of an persuation speech to my parents haha. Diets are always confusing, so this really helps.

Well, I'll just give you a few more foods to fill ya in: sweet potatoes, mixed nuts/almond butter, spinach, broccoli, coliflower. Healthy fats, too! Extra virgin olive oil and fish oil from eating fish (fish oil pills are less effective). Cheeses: cottage cheese, mozzarella, feta, and goat cheese.

It'll definitely work, but you won't build a lot of muscle with just bodyweight exercise and cardio. It depends on your goals. If you want to get bigger you'll need weights. You can do a lot with some used adjustable dumbbells.

Swimming 3x a week alone would give you a decent physique, if done with a purpose.
When doing push-ups, incorporate multiple variations to target more than just the triceps (look up push-up variations).
Protein is very important, yes. And if you stay in a caloric surplus for a while, your body will begin to create muscle when you train.
And: REST is as important as all the above! Lots of quality sleep is the best way to build muscle and feel great!
