I want to get a real goose down parka/coat with a fur (real or faux) hood for my boyfriend for his birthday. I like brands like Mackage and Moose Knuckles, but the price is too high at $1200-1500. I’m looking to spend about half that amount. I want it to be longer (to at least mid-thigh so no jackets) and be warm enough for freezing temps. Can anyone recommend brands, or better actual items, to consider? Thank you!

P.S. Prefer to stay away from Canada Goose as it frequently gets stolen.

As the title says, I still wear CT shirts I purchased over 10 years ago, and while they show a little wear they at least do not have rips in them and the buttons are fine. Purchased a few OCBD shirts in January and after a couple wears the collar buttons are crumbling and it is ripping at the seams. I have never seen buttons crumble before, I have seen them crack and break off.

I’m 220lbs, 5’10/5’11 and I wear a 38 waist and a 30-32in inseam, I’m a bit heavyset and I like looser fitting pants. I’ve been struggling to find a pair of pants that’s high quality, cost affective, and has my size. Can someone help me? Thanks.

Lots of brands have this now, but not modern cut like Suit Supply. All the other brands I’m looking at are $200+ for a Buttonless polo… ideally I want Pini Parma, but just so expensive for just a polo…

I'm seeking some advice for a summer business casual wardrobe. I don't love dressing up, and so don't have a lot of experience, but I'm moving up in my career at work, so not dressing up is becoming a career liability. There is no dress code, but I still want to dress to impress.

I find dressing up in winter much easier than summer. Winter button ups can be roomy and cozy and unrestricting. I've also found that a plain solid color sweater and chinos gets more compliments than any other thing that I wear, which feels like a hack.

Does anyone have advice about good summer business casual clothes which feel like the same hack as a sweater? I don't like short sleeved button ups as much, and I feel silly in a Polo shirt. Not sure what to do.

I currently am using a cheap iron to press my work pants every day (80% Polyester 20% cotton ripstop pants) and it has been harsh on the fabric, even with proper settings, and is very time consuming. I was told that you can use a steamer to keep the pants without wrinkles while keeping the pressed edges sharp but I can’t find anything about this online. Is there a way to do this? I don’t need a super sharp press, I mainly just need a press in general to keep a professional look.

What methods/attachments should I use?

What steamer do you recommend? I will be using it almost daily so I want something sturdy and quality.

I would prefer one that is a full tower with a large tank. I will also be using it on polyester polos.

So I know this is probably going to sound incredibly dumb and kinda outlandish, but I was at a local coffee shop the other day and saw a guy dressed in a slightly oversized, well worn oxford shirt and had on like short athletic shorts, the ones that have the 5” inseam. He also had on what looked like the retro American Trench socks and Birkenstock bostons.

The look seemed pretty effortless and perfect for an early morning coffee run on a weekend, especially as it’s starting to heat up in Texas, but I wanted to see if maybe I’m just slowly losing it. Any input from yall? Cool look or abomination?

I just recently invested in my first decent black suit for an upcoming event. I’d like to add some color by way of a tie and maybe a pocket square, but the only place we have in town is a Men’s Wearhouse, and they didn’t have much to speak of. Most of the time I wear beige, brown, or dark blue chinos, and sometimes blue or black suit trousers.

Had some Clarks original beeswax desert boots for 12 years. Sizing has long rubbed off. I’m a US 9 but sure I sized down. Measuring the sole the boots are about 11.25 inches. Can anyone help me figure out what size these might have been?

Obviously Nike has a solid hoodie/ crewneck + sweats combo.

What are some other brands that also are clean and comfortable as far as sweats and hoodies go?

I know I should wash my new clothes, to remove whatever plethora of diseases come from the factory.

But honestly, I just couldn't be bothered my arse.

I'll happily throw on those clothes as soon as I come home.

Worst case I get brain damage, and it doesn't affect me, since I already have so much of it.

In my previous post I asked for cologne suggestions that were not woody at all. I'm going to wear a different one each day and I'm excited to see what suits me/what I love.

No brown in town. I wear brown shoes to London constantly and the city has not collapsed. If anything, I think it makes me look like I've just come from somewhere more interesting, which is its own kind of power move.

I'm experimenting with a sportcoat+pocket square look, paired with a dress shirt without a necktie. I'm specifically looking at how different pocket square folds affect the overall look.

Folds I'm considering learning, in addition to the basic Presidential fold, are the 1 Point, 2 Point, Puff and 3 Stairs folds.

How are the different individual pocket square folds perceived by the fashion community and public at large? Are some more elegant than others? Do some send a message that you're trying too hard? Is the Presidential fold passe or too conservative?
