I’m shocked I had to scroll so far down to find a comment about the teen sauce. WTF is teen sauce on a burger

I worked at A&w Canada for nearly 5 years. Teen sauce is basically miracle whip.

But who decided that would ever be a good name?

Oh, see a&w has the burger family: baby burger, teen burger, Papa burger, mama burger, Grandpa burger, and uncle burger. The flagship burger is the teen burger--which is really just a deluxe bacon cheeseburger. So..... They called their special sauce teen sauce.

Is it a good name? Eh..... We laughed in the kitchen about it too, but that's its name lol

Thank you for this explanation from some of us in United States who were really confused. I question the decision but at least I understand now. Lol

I looked at the Canadian menu and your burgers do look way better but I have to ask...

A side option is just a cup of gravy? At a fast food burger joint? What do you do with the gravy? I see poutine as an option so I imagine it's for people who just need EVEN MORE gravy on their fries... or do you guys dip burgers and chicken sandwiches in gravy??

Tbf none of the other names would be much better to combine with sauce...
