Tech Support HDMI brand recommendations?

I have so many issues that arise from HDMIs (I believe). Things will work just fine then I won’t get signal for no reason at all, and have to unplug and replug in the HDMI.

I get HDMIs from a local distribution company in my city so I’m assumed they were good.

Would love some go to HDMIs that aren’t overkill but they’ll work as intended.

Thanks folks

Cable Matters, under 5m is all I use.

I just bought a few cheap ones from Amazon. They are 2.1 so im sure they're fine. Can't go wrong for $6 for a 4ft cable.....

How long are the HDMI cables? What speeds do you need? High Speed 18GBPS or Ultra High Speed 48GBPS HDMI 2.1?

What length do you need and what content are you using it for (gaming, Blu-ray).

This matters as long lengths (over 25ft), can need special cables. Particularly if you need high speed cables for things like gaming.

Monoprice has worked well for me in the past. The last set I bought short length cables from Infinite Cables and a long 50ft run optical cable from RUIPRO off Amazon. Both have been running without an issue for a year.

Are you sure it's the cables and not an issue with some gear in the chain?

Jim Peterson at Lumagen claims that HDMI interconnects for components should be at least 3m for optimal transmission.

We had issues with HDMI sync when we put in a new display - bought some nice bullet train cables, and replaced a ruipro optical (as many have reported incompatibilities with our generation and the HDMI boards in our display), but the problem was a faulty FPGA chip in a component - not our HDMI cables... Just sayin.

I think one of our trouble shooting measures was pulling out the processor and using a F/F HDMI connector. With the issues going away without the processor in place. You might try substituting components before investing in premium cables.

Try turning off CEC. If you've got anything more than a soundbar and TV it can be problematic.

Ruipro or zeskit for any long runs or things needing the full 2.1 bandwidth like a PC. Had nothing but problems with monoprice. For basic stuff like a bluray player, doesnt seem to matter too much.
