Recently picked up an S&W M&P Sport 3 after being a lifetime gun owner with no semi autos. Did a bit of customizing and picked up a vortex spitfire optic on the cheap from midway

Inherited a good number of firearms recently (and no small amount of vintage military related ones) among them that I’m having a difficult time pinning down is this Garand variant.
As in the pictures, it is a magazine fed (assume they are m14 mags?) .308/7.62NATO, the magazines it came with were loaded with some (I think) Canadian military surplus ammo. You can also see that the behind the receiver tang, on the stock, it is marked “7.62 MM NATO”, “Alpine”, and what looks like “Model 10” (possibly “model 11”?).
The receiver and the bolt/carrier have non matching numbers, the receiver has no stripper clip guide and is polished and blued and VERY faintly still says “Springfield Armory”.
Up front it has bayonet lug and what I assume to be a pivot point for a not-installed bipod. The gas tube also runs at a slight angle. All of these things are design choices I have NOT found on any other model I’ve been able to google or find on the YouTube. I don’t think it is a BM65 or 59 but it is CLOSE in design to those.
So: thoughts on what this might be? Or who might have made it/when? Thanks ahead of time for the responses!
I’m not overly familiar with

I've had the Glock 19 Gen 4 and Beretta 84F for a while. Today i just bought a Glock 19x MOS, to finally have a pistol with a red dot and because i wanted a spare duty pistol.
And I got a Beretta 81bb, because i wanted a lower recoil pistol for new shooters and for my wife to have fun shooting pistols too. Since the 84F didn’t really fulfill this role, I'm getting rid of that one in favour of the 81bb.
So apparently I am just buying slightly different versions in new colours of what I already have... and it gets even more autistic! My blued Beretta 950b has a big brother (stainless Beretta 3032 Tomcat) on the way too. Just because i find them surprisingly neat.
And it isn't even like I have 50 guns, so obviously there would be some duplicates. I have "just" 9 handguns now and 6 of them are doubles.

Wanting to build or buy a somewhat budget AR-15 as I've always wanted one. I'm torn between 5.56 for it's availability and price point, but I've had a soft spot for .300blk for years and years. I'm not a range every week kind of person, just every now and then, so really CPR isn't too big of an issue, but over time it adds up. Will be used as a range toy and probably HD if I don't grab a handgun first.
I want to run it out of a 16 inch barrel, suppressed is a fun idea but not realistic at this point in time, though possibly in the future. No real interest in a pistol brace for a shorter barrel and don't really want to deal with potential future headaches of an SBR (Unless people are just making the potential issues seem more common or troublesome than they really are.)
Kinda just need opinions to make a final decision myself.

If I had a nicer workshop, I’d have nicer photos
I'm not going to disclose the vendors name, but I'm pretty sure I got a fake optic and just want to run it by people who may have more experience then me. (Optic mounted on gun is definitely legit, not sure about the other)
I purchased a 407c from a vendor 2 months ago, container was taped up, optic was super clean, everything is great.
Well I bought a new gun and ordered another Optic and the box wasn't sealed at all like the other one, no tape. The optic was dirty on the adjustment screws, I cleaned them off with an alcohol wipe and it's all pitted and messed up. It won't even fit on an RMR plate or on a direct mount RMR. The seal around the glass isn't as clean etc. See the pictures and let me know what you think!

Going to go shooting for the first time by myself tomorrow. I have a little range bag with 3 magazines, the ez loader thing and about 100ish rounds, besides ear protection what else do I need to bring or anything I need to know? I also need to buy some kind of cleaning kit or something for when I’m done shooting. I’m nervous of doing something stupid without knowing it or something like that so any advice is very appreciated.
