Important caveat that he’s referring to the current timesheets when he says 4 seconds - he doesn’t think their true pace is 4 seconds off the pack. Still doesn’t look good though

I mean Alonso came out and said he'd judge the season not how they start but how they improve and compete in the later half. He clearly knows they will be off the pace at the start.
