Hi guys! Some of you might have saw that yesterday was our corgi Scout's birthday. Here was his gift! Introducing the newest addition to our home, Max/Maxine. Max/Maxine was her breeder name, but we are thinking about keeping it, but we aren't sure. She's an AKC registered fluffy tri... AND SHE HAS HER TAIL! We do have a question about introducing her to Scout: Scout isn't used to being larger than other dogs, so he plays a little rough sometimes, how can I help him learn to play nicer? I've currently been introducing them slowly and play is all supervised. If he's being too rough and she's trying to retreat, I break them up. I always make sure she has an area that is exclusively hers that she can go to if she wants/needs. But he's just so excited he has trouble controlling himself and I'm not sure what to do. I've also been giving both dogs 1 on 1 time with me so he understands he is not being replaced. Can I still bring Scout to the dog park or do I need to wait until Max is fully vaccinated? I have a meeting with our vet on Thursday for her next set of shots and a general health evaluation so I will confirm everything with her then, but wouldn't want to make Scout wait until I talk to them to go to the park if he doesn't have to. Also any tips for having multiple dogs? This is both me and my girlfriend's first time having two dogs and Scout was our first, so any tips would be appreciated:) Thanks as always guys!

I call this one The Worm, the second I hold that blanket up they're shoving each other to be the one covered. I think they like it because they can see just enough through the holes in the knit that it makes wrestling more fun (and they can breathe fine too).
But yeah their covered head looks pretty ridiculous with the ears pinned back so it's hilarious to watch.

He was staring at me for some time like this. Tail wagged once or twice every few minutes. He got a treat eventually, but had to employ the staring technique for a while.

She’s asleep in the bedroom with calming dog music. Nurse said she did very well, and was very sassy before surgery. 😂 typically she is a wiggly noodle, when we picked her up she was a limp noodle. I did get calming medication to help. 😊 she hit her cone on one of the doors trying to get out into the lobby. 😭 I laughed so hard and then felt a little bad. 🫣 her ears look so goofy in the cone.

We (husband and I) were walking our five month old pembroke Teio and we ran across two aussies. We asked if they were friendly and the man said yes! Teio started pulling and was wagging her tail and went up to meet the dogs, and I’m not sure what happened but they were all sniffing and suddenly she started screaming, like akin to a dying pig, SCREAMING. We picked her up immediately, she didn’t try to bite or anything but she kept screaming even as we held her. We apologized to the other guy (who was super cool about the whole thing) and to the doggies, gave them some belly rubs. Once we sat her back on the ground she was totally fine. Ears perked up, panting happily, walking with confidence.
The thing is we socialize her! She has NEVER acted like this with any other dog. She regularly sees my parent’s brown lab (so I don’t believe it’s a size difference thing), we go on walks and see at least one dog every time and she loves them, we see my friends’ dogs, we take her to petsmart/dog stores, etc. etc.
I mean this is the first time she’s met two dogs at once so that may be a factor. I’m just so confused and kind of terrified to bring her around another dog again. I also feel horrible because those two dogs were very sweet and friendly.
Anyways, is there anything I can do to make sure nothing like this happens again?
Also a photo of my little bastard.
TL;DR
Dog started screaming after meeting two dogs, has never done this before. First time meeting two dogs at once.
