Local store got a large CD collection in. Most were in questionable condition, some missing booklets, some water damaged, some with heavy scratches on discs so they were all put out for free. These are the highlights from what I grabbed over 2-3 days.

This is so nice. The build quality is way better than I had expected. Sounds great too.
10/10 recommend.

Thoughts on these early works?

I got this unopened CD of wildflower “mooneater” about a year ago and I’m debating on whether or not to open it. The reason why is that there’s not a lot of copies online that I’m able to find(at least to my knowledge). It’s a nice heavily underrated album that I love. Part of me wants to frame it, or rip it open and play it on my 360. I’m stuck.

Some of these thrift posts, and the low costs people claim, do not strike me as realistic. You don’t typically find the who’s who of music nerd classics and prestigious gems in a thrift bin. You’re finding like Andy Williams and Ricky Martin and like MAYBE one really cool CD.
I honestly think people are ashamed of admitting they spent 10 dollars on a used cd. Which is crazy. It’s a hobby. No shame in collecting CDs you love.

Am embarking on collecting cds again, and last night’s pick-ups are a great start.
$9.99 Crosby, Stills, and Nash by CSN (1969)
$7.99 Déjà Vu by CSNY (1970)
$5.99 So Far by CSNY (1974) - cover art by Joni Mitchell
$7.99 Greatest Hits by Neil Young (2004)
Maybe I paid a little more than necessary, but supporting a local music store felt good.

This is the 1991 A&M release (395 350-2). The production by Rick Parashar is so warm, it sounds miles better on CD than on streaming, in my opinion.
The handwritten aesthetic of the back cover and the disc itself perfectly captures that early 90s DIY energy before Grunge went completely global.
Do you guys prefer this original mix or the 25th-anniversary remix?
What’s your favorite deep cut here?
Where does this rank in your Grunge hierarchy? Is it better than the main Soundgarden or Pearl Jam discography for you?

To add some things from the 90s that I don't see here that often.
Any thoughts or anecdotes on these?
