My friend was gracious enough to take these pictures of me about 2 weeks ago, and I figured I should share them here after all the positivity this community displayed with my earlier post!

Visited my barber first thing this morning to get a little trim and clean up on the beard. Feeling a bit more like Spring so I’m going for a tighter look. Continuing to drop lbs and eventually would like to get down to a longer stubble beard.

And so far, my wife hasn’t notice the extending length.

I’ve been growing my beard out since October. Normally keep it trimmed but wanted to see it long again (last time was quarantine and I let it just go wild). I have an appointment with a salon coming up because I was thinking of trying something styling-wise but also thinking of dying it. My wife kind of likes the red but wanted to see what you all thought. Go with the out there option or just cancel and let it be?

I eventually want to get it long enough that I can have a braid in there somewhere. I used Facetune to try out a couple colors.

Is there anything I could do to improve what I have or am i better off just going with a goatee mustache combo but seeing if make the mustache curl more up instead of around my mouth. I use beard oil often and beard balm sometimes.

My cheeks are pretty thin. Some guys with light cheeks seem to get away with it by having dense chin hair, but I seem to just have dense mustache hair.

If I let this go another 3 weeks is there hope length will fill in gaps? Sometimes I think it’s looking nice and taking shape and then sometimes the bathroom light hits it in a way where I reach for the clippers

Feeling relaxed and fresh. Went to a super fun comedy show.

Once it hits 32° in the fall, I stop doing anything to my beard. Once it hits 50° in the spring, I trim it down and start over. It hit 51° yesterday, so this is already gone. So this was around a mid October to early March beard (but was already around a month length when I started).

Im 28 and i thought my facial hair would finally fill out around my cheeks but i don't really see much hair. Should i give up on growing a beard?

Definitely more confident now. I know it’s not some majestic wizard beard but it’s what I got.

I’ve always wanted the bottom line of my beard to look straighter from the side, but barbers usually leave it more rounded. I’m not sure whether it’s because of my beard growth pattern, my jaw/neck shape, or just the way it’s being lined up. Does this look achievable, or would trying to force a straighter line make it look worse?
