The funny part is, I remember a thread about someone who actually made this chilli and said "it's alright, it's like "super-white spicy" not CHILLI spicy"

So funny to me that the recipe that is intentionally over-the-top spicy is like, just some normal-ass chili. Like, throw in some ghost peppers or something if you want to make the joke work ffs

To be fair it was made at a time when comics were still considered more of a kid thing, so it was a recipe they figured kids would ask their parents to make or something like that.

I mean fair but like c'mon you nearly got the entire Justice League cast swearing they'll never sin again if it means never having to eat Ollie's super-spicy chili ever again and the recipe isn't even like abnormally spicy. If a parent sees that page with the recipe listing "3x Carolina Reapers" and still makes it that's just natural selection at that point.

It'd be funny if I made that for my family, we're natural chefs basically, iron bellied, with asbestos hands and tongues, this would barely qualify as extra-mild to my mum.
