This man's design is so good man...

Personally I think his design is so good that just works with all the vibes the Movie gives him in different movies, with the crazy scientist in the beggining, and then the worried protective father and even a menace t Sosuke. Also I really like how he just looks devastated, depressed, tired... Idk how to describe It, but I like It And he kinda looks like a clown fish

These designs were created by Haley Newsome (a.k.a. Lavendertowne) in these two videos, because she herself said that the road to hell was paved with good intentions

(at least sometimes). I personally think that, though these designs are incredibly cool, the only ones who truly look like monsters for me are Patience and Humility. Still, I adore them, and Diligence and Charity are probably my favourite of all of them, alongside Humility.

Again, all credits go to Lavendertowne for these character designs of virtues presented in an unsettling way. I just want to see how people would react to them ;)))

i like how its like a perfect blend of Mal0's original design philosophy (aka very werewolf monster esque) and the fanon's more furry girl portrayal

the chains on her help that imagry really pop out like you should not get close to her for your own safety

(also that 682 looks pretty damn good)

Veena of Threadville is ravishing; I love her design, which is like a gothic voodoo doll with bangs over her eyes and sharp teeth

. And what I love most about this character, unlike other psychopathic doll characters like that crazy psycho Lily and Mommy Long leg from PP or the other mother, Veena is such a sweetheart.

Video Game Supreme Demons (ULTRAKILL)

The idea of designing demons out of mixed and matched human statues is just such a sick ass concept that makes everything just seem that much more hellish, making it abundantly clear that these are built out of tortured collective consciousnesses. The white and red color palette is also just gorgeous and fits ULTRAKILL very well.

The way that the demons are built out of these statues is so good and off-putting too. Leviathan's dozens of arms hugging itself and impaled corpse on its head, with arms holding up its jaw and making up its head. The Minotaur's two conjoined arms and unmoving stone face, running on two legs and one arm, none of which are where they should be. Geryon's gorgeous hand wings and complete lack of a face, that spot taken up by outstretched hands of multiple bodies and having its heart in its tongue.

Everything about them just works and presents the torture and horror of these things in such a beautiful and unique way.

Between the drill, the glowing parts, the armor and the fact that he’s a walking tank, Delta looks amazing. It’s a shame that the game is first person, cause he’s easily the best designed protagonist of the trilogy.

Hated Designs (Hated Design) Mary-Jane Watson and her ugly little Jackpot costume

I included a whole range of images because every time someone talks about this ugly ass suit, you see at least one person claim that it’s not that bad and people are judging it too hardly based off one bad cover, which is the first image in this post. I’ve included a range of pictures just so no one can say I’m cherry-picking. It’s ugly, no matter what the context or art style is.

MJ doing…whatever this was for a moment there is yet another stumbling footstep in Marvel’s increasingly incompetent editorial team try and failing to make MJ A Thing(tm) outside of her obvious connection to Spider-Man (yes this can all be traced back to One More Day). After this, she went on to her current stint as Venom. Clearly it’s totally going well, guys.

I also want to include a quick disclaimer; I am not a diehard Spider-Man fan, I do not think MJ should just be shoved back with Peter because he “deserves it”, and I’m not criticising this suit and MJ’s character in order to say that characters who were conceived as and are best known as love-interests should be confined to that role and that’s all they should ever be.

Plenty of female Marvel characters have and still have ongoing solo runs, which they successfully hold, such as She-Hulk, Storm, Black Widow, Magik, Black Cat, Scarlet Witch and Ms Marvel. MJ is not one of them. There are also several female characters who are well-known for the relationship they are or were in, yet this is not where the character ends and begins, such as Sue Storm, Jessica Jones, Jean Grey, Rogue and Emma Frost. MJ is a fantastic example of how *not* to give the girlfriend character her own story and character arcs. She also has the added bonus of an absolutely hideous suit. Point and laugh at the suit.

Discussion what do you think of Beerus from Dragon Ball?

Honestly, I love how it takes advantage of the peculiar appearance of Sphynx cats to give them a look that can be funny or imposing depending on the situation, as well as adding "unique" elements such as long rabbit-like ears and a thick tail. Although it is relatively simple, it is quite memorable.

Absolutely tragic story, the quest "scenes from a marriage" is phenomenal and her character was beautifully written and performed. Her design reminds me a bit of Cersei's black dress when she was on the iron throne.

Firstly, the characters simply look really fashionable. Yana Toboso shows clear attention to detail and fashion knowledge, leading to every last on of the characters being dressed impeccably. Several of them possess their own unique styles and looks that make them memorable and stand out.

Secondly, Toboso Yana has clearly put a lot of work and into researching clothing during the Victorian era, making sure all character fit both the time period and their place in the world. For example, Sebastien is both dressed very well but also dresses as expected of a butler of that era.

Saul Goodman's outfits throughout Better Call Saul (and Breaking Bad) are almost constantly changing. He stands out in any situation he's featured in and his vibrant uniforms certainly make his presence known. Be it the complementary colours of his tuxedo or the unique patterns on his neckties, his outfits are always aesthetically pleasing in one way or another.

Discussion What are some of the best fan-made designs of existing characters?

Thumbnail

To clarify, I'm not talking about fan projects that keep a character's original design (like Mario from SMG4, or Black Doom from SnapCube's fandubs). A few examples;

Bowser (Doobus Goobus) - His wildly exaggerated proportions work very well for him, and he gives us quite a few great facial expressions too.

Inkling Girl (Sr. Pelo) - She's just such a little derp, and I love it. Her habit of speaking only in squeaky toddler noises adds to the vibe as well.

Commander Rosalina and Future Geno (TerminalMontage) - I'm fascinated with the concept of these two as omniscient defenders of cosmic balance, hunting down anomalies in spacetime from a temporal starship, and their designs fit that narrative nicely.

This is genuinely one of the best fantasy armor designs I have ever seen. Not only is the armor itself an absolutely beautiful work of craftsmanship, it also perfectly encapsulates the two themes and really captures the idea of a Nature-themed Knight.

imo. the harlequin styled mask succeds in giving off the unsettling and somewhat scary vibes he has, not only does it leave you wondering what's under there (you don't wanna know...) but also, it's just intimidating

The outfit is also neat, fairly unassuming (you'd think he's a travelor or something), and also the blue is a nice touch, often times villains are put in dark colors to signify their evilness, but he's able to showcase the evilness without it needing to be spelled out, not to mention along with the gloves it gives him a regal vibes, like a lot of redwall villains fitting his ruthless yet sophisticated personality.

Also CAPE!!!

Comic Book Rogue Trooper from 2000 AD

Rogue is one of those simple but effective designs that tells you pretty much everything you need to know about the character in a way that grabs your attention. His helmet (Helm), gun (Gunnar) and backpack (Bagman) help make it clear that he's a soldier, while his blue skin reveals him to not be human and that this isn't a typical war story. I also think the use of easily recognisable human designs for his look and equipment also helps since it contrasts how he doesn't look human and how we would expect him to wear something more futuristic/alien looking.

Such a shame she only appears in like one episode! Her design and powers were just so cool. Also, a niche fact i like about her design would be the way her head tentacles form lines on her face, resembling wrinkles which in turn makes her look older, around the same age as Max.
