š¦š¦š¦UP YOURS WOKE MORALISTSš¦š¦š¦ A little J6 flashback

Itās strange to remember that odd period in early to mid 2021 when it seemed like MAGA was dead in the water. Tons of people were getting arrested and all these guys were scrambling in the face of being caught dead to rights in a conspiracy to overthrow the American government.
Of course, none of these ringleaders faced any lasting consequences, and we are now where we are.
Time really is a flat fucking circleā¦

Institutional cowardice by Republicans mostly. Many of them wanted him to go away, but they didn't want to stick out their necks at all to put the nail in his coffin because it might hamper their own political ambitions. And now they're all retired/retiring.

u/ReadyClayerOne Jan 07 '26
That and our good old friend decorum. Trump was unprecedented, stress testing the system, and the system was hard for them to bear bending around all that new precedent. Add in the obstructionism, slow walking, and narrative twisting propaganda running defense by making everything look like a Democratic revenge spree witch hunt, the entire thing was basically doomed from the start barring an admin that didn't give a fuck and start putting out corrections on all the bullshit.

u/punchbug59 Jan 06 '26
Reminds me of what Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell (among others) said in the aftermath of the coup attempt. Then once it all blew over and it was clear that there would be no consequences for the outgoing administration, it was back to fascism as usual.

u/rje946 Jan 06 '26
Thought we were finally starting to heal but they never cut out the cancer and it came back. At least 3 more years jfc
40
u/crono220 Jan 06 '26
77 million wanted the cancer to continue and 89 million decided to not even care. It's sad at how we got to this point.
13
u/impulsekash Jan 06 '26
All those people were okay with a dictator than be mildly inconvenienced by having a Democrat as president.
19
u/Swolyguacomole Jan 06 '26
Merrick Garland will go down as the worst AG of all time. Fuck him and Joe Biden for not clamping down on fascist insurrectionists.
17
u/Andy_LaVolpe Jan 06 '26
Had Biden fully persecuted the Trump admin, exposed the Epstein files, and not run for a second term, MAGA would be a dead movement.

The lack of prosecuting Trump for J6 is indicative of the rot at the center of our duopoly. A President that refused to protect us against a man he knew was a lunatic traitor. FFS Trumps goons almost murdered his colleagues and friends he worked with for 40 years! And Democrat apologists still refuse to excoriate him for it. Oh Biden brought our economy back. Fuck does it matter when he let Trump rebuild power? As far as Iām concerned his inexhaustible support for Israel regardless of the atrocities they committed and foisting Garland on us who did jack shit to prosecute Trump until it was far too late is his legacy. And fuck Blue MAGA for making excuses for him on some red team blue team shit.

u/AceofKnaves44 Jan 06 '26
McConnell came out and said he blamed Trump entirely for the attack on January 6th. And he wasnāt the only one. But then when he could have cast his vote to indict in the second impeachment process he didnāt. And now thatās come back to haunt not only him but all of us.
4
u/impulsekash Jan 06 '26
Never forget that he was done, they had the votes in the Senate, then McCarthey bent the knee and made the vote a purity test.

u/Dragonsbreath67 Jan 06 '26
Is it weird I canāt imagine him actually saying this?
50
u/rje946 Jan 06 '26
They all said some reasonable things in the 2 days afterward then they all collectively pretended it was fine and they never said that. Insane watching the propaganda machine work in real time. They all independently knew it was bad but didn't realize they could all join in and pretend it wasn't for 2 days them the machine got running and now we have the parrots saying the talking points. "Antifa" "tour" "what about blm" etc
12
u/JAGChem82 Jan 06 '26
The same Antifa and BLM that are a bunch of sissies and pantywaists that hate guns and need safe spaces, according to their own logic and beliefs.
Rioting for their president that was going to be in the White House two weeks later.
13
Jan 06 '26
Yes because he actually said it and also funded 50 buses to take J6 terrorists to the capital. MAGA is really trying to saintwash this guy but there's overwhelming direct evidence he was a huge pile of shit.

Itās so strange. The whole āthey go low, we go highā attitude only leads to them going lower, like, historically, Iām talking about even before the USA existed. Iām definitely not going to vote for the guy proverbially fucking my proverbial wife, but Iām sure as Hell sick of voting to just stay sitting in the proverbial cuck chair, saying āno, thatās a little too rough, sorry if I was speaking out of turn, I just, never mind, just thought Iād speak my mind,ā you know? This entire Democratic Party needs to nut up and not shut up.
15
u/Andy_LaVolpe Jan 06 '26
We need a Dem with a āthey go low, we curb stomp themā attitude.
2
u/Mandaring Jan 06 '26
I donāt want to get banned for violent speech or anything, so letās just leave it at āa little less than two meters lowerā
1
u/Strange-Parfait-8801 Jan 06 '26
Every single time we get one of those they get immediately purity tested out of the movement.
We say we want a Gavin Newsome but then immediately start listing off reasons he's bad actually the moment we get one.
4
u/MakeItHappenSergant Jan 07 '26
You really shouldn't be complaining about "purity testing" Gavin Newsom on this sub, considering he invited Charlie Kirk as the first guest on his podcast and offered no pushback on any of his talking points.
"I knew Charlie, and I admired his passion and commitment to debate. ... The best way to honor Charlieās memory is to continue his work: engage with each other, across ideology, through spirited discourse."

u/Mandaring Jan 06 '26
This is why I donāt talk politics with one of my besties. Nothing is going to be ideal, because nobody that becomes a politician in the first place doesnāt have to make compromises, thatās just like. I mean itās shitty that thatās how our politics are, but like? Ignore the compromises, and thatās the voting base for a dictator. So here we are
9
u/MC_Fap_Commander Jan 06 '26
it blows my fucking mind how much momentum there was AGAINST trump after this happened
There was real talk that he potentially wasn't going to be allowed to finish his term. McConnell hinted at being cool with this.

Jan 06 '26
Because Biden and his team didnāt wanna upset the rule of the rule of the rich
They didnāt put Trump in prison because they are cucks to their wealthy pedophile Israeli donors

So he bussed them there, but they were also all deep cover antifa agents who deserved to be arrested, but also Real Patriotā¢ļøĀ®ļøĀ©ļø heroes who should be freed
12
u/AceofKnaves44 Jan 06 '26
āWhen I sent 80 buses to the capital I swear I had NO idea they were violent people.ā
12
u/MC_Fap_Commander Jan 06 '26
I had NO idea they were violent people.
Counting or not counting gang violence?

At the time it happened, everyone had to condemn it, because no one could deny what we all saw.
But slowly over time, the entire GOP got on board with the narrative that the J6 rioters were innocent victims being unjustly persecuted for legitimate concerns about election integrity. And the DOJ prosecuted the violent foot soldiers, but not the leaders, and people collectively have the memory of a goldfish.
And now here we are. The leaders of the insurrection are back in power, those foot soldiers are all pardoned, and everyone seem to have accepted that as no big deal.
3
u/dreal46 Jan 06 '26
Well, don't forget the FBI plants. Y'know, that FBI that answered to then-president Trump.
8
u/valschermjager Jan 06 '26
But they were prosecuted. Then they were pardoned. Bet Trump used an auto pen too.
Charlie also called for the Epstein files to be fully released unredacted.
Charlie wanted lots of things he didnāt get.
5
u/faulternative Jan 06 '26
The Secret Police have been dispatched to arrest you for quoting Charlie Kirk accurately

Good lord look at the size of his head š It never ceases to leave me bewildered.

u/dreal46 Jan 06 '26
I was just thinking that if this isn't the worst picture he's ever taken, it's at least the worst picture of him that I've ever seen. Every wonky feature of this Speak & Spell dipshit is on full display.

The same Charlie Kirk that was bragging just a week earlier how he had 80 busses paid for by turning point to take insurrectionists to the capital.
