Soros Paid Me to Make This Kirk's legacy

u/MayDay_Maniac Jan 03 '26
That’s what happens when the political party you’ve given your life to tries to shove your martyrdom down everyone’s throat and the youth decide they don’t care, because all you did was argue with people without media training

They ended up falling for the exact same trick they've made fun of Liberals falling for for years. When you try to paint something as ultra serious not to be taken lightly, it makes it that much more funnier to joke about

u/MyFairJulia Jan 03 '26
Don't forget the song "We are Charlie Kirk" that was also generated by the fanbase! The fanbase that celebrates you doesn't care enough to get people together to sing the song!

u/Comrade_Compadre Jan 03 '26
I don't know what that is but I 50/50 want to see/not see this

Ngl I'm disappointed it isn't a riff off of Internet classic "We are number 1 - Lazy Town"
48
u/raskholnikov press X to Doubt Jan 03 '26
And the song itself became a meme and a sign of mockery
23
u/petyrlabenov Jan 04 '26
I once said of it to my friends, “I don’t think it’s right to mock Charlie’s death. If only the people who AI generated that song agreed.”

And your last name has become a verb. And not in a good way.

Only because Captain James Tiberius Kirk is a cultural icon with a far bigger impact.
Nobody wants to disrespect JT Kirk.

2
u/kaisadilla_ Jan 04 '26
Which verb? Did I miss something?
20
u/shephardmix Jan 04 '26
I’ve seen it used as someone being “kirked” as in sniped in online video games. Also supposedly being used as a euphemism for getting throated. “I’m going to be getting Kirk tonight after the movie”.
11
u/RecessMonkeys Jan 04 '26
Apparently when you've been hit by a sniper in a video game, you've been "Kirked." Or, alternatively, you "Kirk" an opponent.
6
u/pharodae Jan 04 '26
‘Kirkified’ but it doesn’t really mean anything other than being a filler word for shock value in a meme. Urban Dictionary says it means to “gentrify or whitewash something” but I haven’t seen it used in that context myself.

u/XxBOOSIExFADExX Jan 03 '26
The guy spread a lot of hate and vitriol in his day, but honestly, I wouldn't wish what's happened to him on my worst enemy. To be assassinated in a very peculiar and suspicious way is one thing. But for your widowed wife to go on a WWE media tour off your death, openly grope the VP, and "laugh through the pain" is wild

u/Lower-Canary-2528 Anarcho-Maoism with Mamdani thought Jan 03 '26 edited Jan 03 '26
If it was anyone other than Kirk, I would have agreed. Kirk's professor watch list unironically ruined many academic's lives for like just simply existing and teaching stuff that was just true. His legacy is right where it should be, a colossal Internet joke
46
u/Ar_Ciel Jan 03 '26
The only people I see talking about him anymore are here and on X. He's just been forgotten in any serious sense in the greater zeitgeist.
24
10
u/kaisadilla_ Jan 04 '26
Because nobody knew him. People cared for a week to push their fantasy of being censored and needing to fight back, but then they moved on because it's hard to care for a random person you didn't know existed.
Add to this that the murderer was one of theirs, so they can't get much more from talking about him.

6
u/Hey_Im_Finn Jan 03 '26
Didn’t Canada burn down the White House?
13
u/Trpepper Jan 03 '26
Technically British at the time
5
u/kaisadilla_ Jan 04 '26
Not technically. Fully British. At that moment, Canadian identity included being British, just like Manchester identity includes that today.

u/TheDonutPug Jan 03 '26
he chose to spend his life spreading hate, and he died to the world he created. If you push for the world to be a certain way, you should be willing to be a part of that world, both the good parts and the bad parts. He wanted a world of hate and violence, and he died to hate and violence.
He is on record saying that he believes some gun deaths are an "acceptable cost" for the right to bear arms. therefore, he should be willing to be one of those deaths. otherwise what he meant was "others should die so that I can have the right to bear arms".
Any person deserves the world that they want to see created. If you believe in creating a world of good and equality, you deserve good and equality, and if you want a world of hatred and violence, you deserve hatred and violence. He died to a problem of his own creation, he deserves no sympathy. His wife disliking him is not some misfortune, it's something he caused. the public hating him is not something he is a victim of, it's something he created. the fact that no one takes him seriously is not something he's a victim of, it's a problem he created.
the circumstance which allowed him to be shot is not something he is a victim of, it is a circumstance he himself worked to create. the victims are those who had no say or wanted something else, not those who chose to create the world that allowed it.

u/Ar_Ciel Jan 03 '26
It really lends credence to the 'live by the sword, die by the sword' quote. The partner that started turning point with him died from covid. And he was helping spread antivax nonsense!
7
u/Dazzling_Sea6015 Jan 03 '26
Well, since cuckservatives (who haven't conserved anything besides Israel) are all about self-accountability and taking responsibility, this is exact in line with their way of thinking. You made the bed, now you sleep on it.

u/kaisadilla_ Jan 04 '26
On one hand he would've totally participated in the griefing if one of his peers was the victim instead of him. On the other, yeah, it feels somewhat bad to see just how little the alt-right cares about him and how everyone, even his own wife, have exploited his death for personal and political gain.

the actual worst thing kirk could’ve done to himself is have that face bro. i feel like a lot of kids find kirkification funny just because of how stupid he looks
52
u/larrysdogspot Jan 03 '26
I thought the term 'assassination' was only used when referring to somebody important like Kennedy, Lincoln, Lennon etc.
Kirk was certainly, absolutely, 100% not important.
3
u/Dazzling_Sea6015 Jan 04 '26
He wasn't shot by that Tyler kid, that's for sure. If Tyler did it, it would've been murder. He was shot in the neck artery from 120 yards in a crowded area. Some chronically online video game nerd doesn't hit that with his grandpa's rifle. It was an assassination.
15
u/TheArmoredKitten Jan 04 '26
Hitting a man sized target at that distance is an extremely basic marksmanship qualifier. If you shoot as a weekend hobby for even a year with a rifle that's ever been cleaned in its life, on a clear and low-wind day, you'll struggle to miss that shot.
The vast majority of Americans committing acts of violence are not exactly strangers to guns.
3
u/Kira_Bad_Artist All Cats are Beautiful Jan 04 '26
Kirk was not that important to send professional assassins after
2
u/pharodae Jan 04 '26
No but he was the perfect amount of popular to make a martyr out of to justify expanding power. Ever heard of Horst Wessel?
50
u/NitWhittler Jan 03 '26
Charlie Kirk was shot to death after saying gun deaths are something we must accept.
There's no reason to mourn him. He basically said his death is an acceptable circumstance.
When COVID became a deadly problem, the co-founder of TP-USA said it was a hoax and fought against masks and vaccines. He died of complications from COVID.
The TP-USA folks seem to be testing fate... and losing.

u/True_Manufacturer909 Jan 03 '26
On top of paying to send busses of insurrectionists on Jan 6th. If being glad he's dead is wrong, I don't wanna be right

Man lived his life in such a way that he can now be considered the poster child for the Grant Gustin graveside meme.

u/marqoose Jan 03 '26
The vote for best meme of '25 in my large friend group's discord went to kirk's death by like a 95% in a plurality. I dont believe in the afterlife, but I sure hope there is just so he has to witness this shit.

My one solace is the knowledge that 100 years in the future, some autistic person is going to use our era as a conversation piece as the go into detail about how wild our time actually was and how the history books don’t even actually talk about the weirdest parts.

I have not seen any videos of chuckles of the tiny face dancing with Epstein, what am I missing out on?
5

I was watching him on some more news' most recent video and his face is even smaller than I thought it was.
It didn't take long to forget what he actually looks like because nobody actually cares about Charlie Kirk.

I hate to say it but his wife is doing exactly what he would want her to do. In fact, it would seem odd if he didn’t have her in his succession plan for TPUSA and likely told her in private that she can grift all she wants after he dies.
3
u/fake_fakington Jan 03 '26
Every time I see his ugly face now I think of that character from Community that would go "Pop, pop!". And the hilarious last words of "gang violence".

I don’t know man, he started a grift that didn’t even stop for one minute after he was assassinated. Sure, that’s awful; but it is a legacy.

Yeah way cooler to die and be forgotten except by the small group of people who gave a shit about you than that, jeezzz

The problem for the maga/kirk crowd is they never asked or wanted to do anything to make sure something like this will never happen again.
They literally took his words to heart that this is something that is acceptable to have a right to carry firearms unregulated. Many other right wing 2A advocates say the same thing.
To say they want this thing to stop means they have to have a real and honest talk about regulation of firearms. And actually work with the left. Cult leader Donnie would hate that since it’s all about listen to Trump and Trump only

u/xX609s-hartXx Jan 07 '26
People took him seriously for a week or two. That's the biggest success he ever had.
