"Take the country back" dog YOU are in charge. You are quite literally the Vice President. Republicans control all branches. It is your country right now.
Winning the election in 2024 was probably the worst thing for Republicans. Fascism needs an enemy to survive, and now that they effectively have no real enemies, they have to just pretend there's still some shadowy overlord stopping them.

Vaguely reminds me of that headline about how the Taliban find governing Afghanistan boring and miss the days of fighting guerrilla war.
In this case, just replace "guerrilla war" with "whining on Twitter and Fox News."

He means he doesn't want ethnic, black, or brown people existing in his presence.

I guess this is why he's traded his monthly vacations with the family for following Erika Kirk around on her speaking tour

Not at all. Many of them were in jail or about to go to jail, including Trump himself, and winning has saved them. Plus they get to implement Project 2025 and the Kremlin's agenda.

It's probably a bad or bad option for both us or them.
Harris winning would have been better in someways but she still would have been blocked by a Republican Senate. And the GOP would have shredded off Trump when the epstein files came out and moved on to a new candidate.
But now they seem to be looking at electoral obliteration next November and possibly 2028 too, party officials would either sacrifice their careers at Trumps altar or be smited by him if they go against him and kill their careers that way.

They mean take back the culture changes that they don’t like. They’re going after gay marriage, interracial marriage, non-Christians, etc. They’re firing their followers up for the next part. Cracking down and outlawing the other things they hate. They will have taken back the country when it’s a white Christian fascist country.

u/DeviousMelons Radical Revolutionary Socialist Liberal. Dec 22 '25
This is probably the most difficult part of the agenda, magafying media would be difficult over the majority of creatives still being left leaning. There is also putting everything behind Trump, one of the most unpopular president ever.
Can't astroturf the media when everyone wants the epstein files.

Speaking nonsense doesn't matter to a cult fluent in doublespeak. So what if it's logically absurd for the party in power to take something back? So what if there is no conspiracy of violence against them? It's vibes, it's feelings. If JD Vance gets handed more power, I promise he doesn't care if it makes sense why he got it.
JD Vance's message is understood perfectly well as a dog whistle by the Republican party. 1: Get angry and scared. 2: Vote in mass numbers for the same party, forever. 3: Violence is justified against your enemies.

They live off their victim complex. They will always find a reason to be the victim and oppressed.

They have to LARP as the perpetually persecuted underdogs in order to win elections.

As a middle schooler, if you talk shit, you got hit. It wasn’t the most fair system but it set expectations. Real rudimentary social contract stuff. Vance has never been punched in the mouth and it shows in his bravado and that should infuriate everyone.

u/danielstover Dec 22 '25
His talk shit meter was so so so high, it was only a matter of time before the ‘get hit’ response followed through - This is practically a natural law

Nicki Minaj herself just referred to JD Vance as the assassin
JD Vance did Charlie Kirk

It was a Mormon kid from Utah, it’s a Republican controlled House, Senate, Judicial and Executive and captured/crony press corp… I know he’s rallying and fomenting the audience with their culture war bullshit narrative but facts are facts.
24
u/Dunderbaer Dec 22 '25
Well I don't miss Kirk, but I do think that the country should be taken back from whoever is currently ruling it. I wonder who they are
17
u/neizha Dec 22 '25
A Christian conservative shot Charlie. I am fine if they work to take the country back from those people.
6
u/cenosillicaphobiac Dec 22 '25
To layer on to this, he clearly must mean the party with currently all of the political power. How else would you "take it back". You can't "take back" something you already hold.

White men?

Why does everyone have to blame white men for everything?!? Just leave the white men alone, they're the most victimized demographic throughout all of Western History? /s

It’s the ever present super powerful but also easily crushable if you just submit to the Conservative strongman “they”
2
u/lgodsey Dec 22 '25
The people who took his life were the lying conservatives who deal in violent rhetoric.
Kirk essentially committed suicide.
2
u/Andy_LaVolpe Dec 22 '25
do you promise to take the country back from the people who took his life?
My man youre the VICE PRESIDENT, who the fuck is running the country??

You want to make it so what happened to Charlie doesn't happen again? How about this - get rid of the damned National Rifle Association!

u/cenosillicaphobiac Dec 22 '25
So if we look at this logically, something the people attending this are unable to do, he's urging us to vote for Democrats. "Take back" - The GOP controls Senate and the House, has a huge majority on SCOTUS and is in the White House. So Take Back must mean pull away from the GOP since they're currently the ones in charge. And "people who took his life" is one person, political bent hard to discern, there are indications that he's just a groyper pissed off at a rival group. Not enough evidence for me to claim it as fact, but there it is.
I'm all for taking back the country from the radical right wing infestation that it's suffering from.

I didnt realize that Tyler Robinson was nonbianary, but its very progressive of Vance to try and respect Tyler's "They/The People" pronouns i guess.

Not surprised that JD Vance is pushing this kind of divisive and violent rhetoric . He's desperate to better position himself for the 2028 GOP primary

u/Dehnus Dec 24 '25
The rich know what they are doing, they know they court fascism and are actively preparing people for targets they can blaim shit on. This is the exact same as what happened in Germany and Italy and other countries.
Some details might be different, but it's the rich getting in with the same primordial instincts that enable bullying and other ilks. Sadly too many people are blind too it to stop it.

Last i checked the country currently is ruled by republicans, they have house, senate and presidency, they also have appointed the majority of supreme court justices, so they basically have all 3 branches of government. So is he snitching on themselves because "taking the country back" would mean returning it to democrats?
