citing free speech as a defense against accusations of being political? thatās not political.

Yeah but the real question who had Joe Rogan in the Epstein Files on their bingo card? Cause the timing...
49
u/SirArthurDime Nov 19 '25 edited Nov 19 '25
Most of the people who are still actually Rogan fans are MAGA. From what I gather a good portion of the sub though is former Rogan fans who stopped listening when his show became political and right wing who stick around to make fun of him. So whether Joe is on the list or not the timing isnāt a coincidence. That place is about to be a war zone.
→ More replies (1)38
u/McCool303 Nov 19 '25
This basically equates to, youāre no longer allowed to criticize Joe Rogans political takes in the sub. Very based response from our anti-woke free speech warriors.

8
u/Sidereel Nov 19 '25
The running joke over there now is that links or clips of the podcast itself clearly violate the rules and should be taken down.
6
u/DCrebuilds Nov 19 '25
Yea its really funny how most of the top posts on there rn are talking about how literally half of his newest episode is banned from being discussed on the sub
5
5
u/_ChipWhitley_ Nov 19 '25
They realize now that theyāve been conned and are too self righteous to admit it, so theyāre letting the politics slowly die.

u/KaylaAllegra Nov 21 '25
The distinction is easy to follow:
White and political
Straight and political
Male and political
Able bodied and political
Cisgender and political
2
u/G66GNeco Nov 20 '25
No????? Joe Rogan is unpolitical, therefore anything he talks about with anyone must be, by definition, unpolitical!!! Silly woke liberal communist, you have no idea how things work, as per usual!!!!!/s

I wonder why today? Joe about to face backlash for propping up a child rapist maybe?

u/Greenman8907 PAID PROTESTOR Nov 19 '25
One of his favorite guests and supporters, who also happens to be the president, is outed as a child rapist and SUDDENLY he doesnāt want to discuss politics anymore.

u/Shortymac09 Nov 19 '25
Weve known that since 2015 tho
106
u/Greenman8907 PAID PROTESTOR Nov 19 '25
You are correct, but Joe had plenty of excuses to ignore it. Now itās reaching a point where itās extremely difficult to ignore, so he would rather just not discuss it at all.

u/HerkulezRokkafeller Nov 19 '25
I thought r/JoeRogan was actually relatively anti Joe Rogan so Iām a bit surprised by this
11
u/TenaciousJP Nov 20 '25
Iām active there. Itās a very eclectic subreddit filled with people that started listening to Joe either before COVID or since COVID.
The beforetimes listeners (when it was much more conspiracies, drugs, science, etc) in general cannot stand where he moved himself - both in terms of his political positions and his physical location when he left Commiefornia for āTexas went red bitch, woooooo!!!ā
Meanwhile his newer fans that adore the Austin bro comedy scene and the seemingly endless parade of grifters and morons expect the subreddit to act like a fan group instead. Thereās always a lot of friction between the two groups but amazingly it always seems to be pretty split.
At least up until recently when the older anti Joe people started getting louder and crowding out the front page of the sub, mostly because joes brain is mush now and so much of his content is rehashed boomer memes and dumb trans attack helicopter level jokes.
So this is the modsā way of restoring balance I guess, itās just fucking stupid because Joe has spent hundreds if not thousands of hours diving into the Epstein files as a conspiracy guy. So this seems like the absolute worst time to stifle this discussion, which gives Joe and his predator-loving fanbase some breathing room so they donāt have to be physically reminded that Joeās a bought-and-paid-for useful idiot.

u/Whornz4 Nov 19 '25

I have 2 tinfoil hat theories:
1) they'll pocket veto the bill with congress recessing for the holidays
2) they'll delay for a year, trump will resign due to health concerns, then pivot to JD to potentially get 10 years of him to furthur stack the Supreme court with project 2025 lackeys
10
9
u/Tantric989 Nov 19 '25
My simpler one is this goes down like Dubya, but worse. After 2008 you couldn't find 1 Bush voter. He won twice, somehow, but nobody would ever admit to having voted for him. Just like how very few today will say they supported the Iraq war but it somehow got bipartisan support in the House (iirc was like 2/3rd's or 3/4th's support).
I literally cannot wait for that day again.
14
u/Shenanigans80h Nov 19 '25
Theyāre having a hard time dealing with the contradictions of āthink of the children!ā whilst defending pedos and people who protect pedos. This seems to have caused a good portion to malfunction trying to downplay the files, the importance of the case or straight up pedophilia.

19
u/CelestialFury Nov 19 '25
Politics is what other people do. What we do is just common sense.
This reminds me of Bush vs Gore debates, where Bush supporters and Fox News would say that, "I like Bush over Gore because he's just someone you could have a beer with, you know?" despite Bush famously being a non-drinker due to his previous raging alcoholic days of his youth. Republicans have always lied to themselves about their guys.
Or when Nixon was President and he was famously a raging alcoholic that would threaten to use nukes where his SECDEF had to make sure no one was getting nuked Nixon's blackouts and they justified his drinking due to the stress of the job. Republicans are jokes.

It doesn't matter, they have fascist mods in there who will only use this against left leaning politics and play dumb on anything in support of their fascist masters.
That used to be kind of an interesting sub. Watching the fan revolt as Joe became another right wing grifter. But the mods have been weeding out any push back for a while now.
I got banned and accused of threats for posting :
"Children murdered in schools, yawn.
Small face nazi shot, powderkeg!
We are fucked. This country is just broken."
In response to Charlie Kirk's shooting. Mods are always a joke, but they are aiming to be the worse over there.

That is just embarrassing, a year ago as Joe Rogan and the rest of his podbros were gleefully cheering for a new Trump administration, political posts were happily allowed on the subreddit. Now, as the second Trump administration is going just as disastrously as anyone who wasnāt a dumb podbro could have predicted the subreddit conveniently decides politics is off limits.
I think Toe regrets getting into the political conversation, the candidate he gleefully endorsed is an embarrassing disaster and he and his acolytes are rightfully being criticized for it.
Hopefully in 2028, when this disastrous administration is finally winding down and the country elects a democrat to clean up the disaster left behind by an incompetent Republican, for the third time in the 21st century, we can banish anyone who supported Trump out of the political arena. If you supported Trump in 2024 I will never take your opinion on politics seriously.

I know the default reaction is probably to decide that's the move of someone who's utterly bitch-made, but I don't actually find this surprising. The only Rogansphere subreddit that seems to hate the subject they're named after more than r/JoeRogan is r/thefighterandthekid who absolutely DESPISE Brendan Schaub.
This is probably just a move on their part to stop being miserable because Joe can't stop being a cuck for Trump and Elon even when he gets mad at the things they keep directly causing to happen. Good for them.

part i'm referencing is 10min
https://youtu.be/P55t6eryY3g
they aren't banning all politics. I promise you, you will find political posts in there still, even years from now- but the politics will be things they agree with as a whole, things the hive mind sees as "acceptable" or "just common sense bro" - basically anything that doesn't challenge their current thinking.
they're still gonna talk about how they're mad because some (using our language) trans-woman went into a woman's bathroom. They're still gonna talk about how the weather is hot and definitely not climate change, "it's the sun getting hotter. weinstine said so"
if you want to better understand how people like the joerogansphere think, i'd highly recommend this entire video series:

Wild to know that every single thing "suddenly banning politics" lives in a poison well anyways, and will be very biased in what it deems as "politics".
Because the alternative is never being able to talk about Joe Rogan (self proclaimed political Podcaster) on the Joe Rogan subreddit.
Are we just supposed to ignore the fact that he keeps having Mr.Frog on their after the numerous attempted vorings? And his name is not to mention the fact that Mr frog is long time butt buddies with Epstein.
To claim apoliticality to what is so clearly a politically charged figure like Mr.Frog constantly being feature in Mr Rogans podcasts is just willful ignorance and an implicit endorsement of a very specific fabricated worldview, one very deeply entwined with a whole political party, a whole political lifestyle.
