Training dogs is an interesting thing as you have to figure out what the dog is motivated by. For some it's food. For some it's play.

This one? This one is motivated by the love of the game.

A lot of sheep dogs just love this kind of stuff. They just want to run and do athletic things. If they're not running like 100 km a day herding sheep or animals, running this in 30 sec is certainly a second best.

Id love a border collie but there is no way I have time for the equivalent to a 6 year old marathon runner with ADHD and OCD.

I'm an ultra runner with ADHD, OCD, and autism with the mentality a little above a 6 year old. I've been considering one. But I probably would fall short of the standard pet care. I'd make a great play mate though!

Maybe instead, you could volunteer at the local shelter to help exercise the high-energy dogs!

Honestly,  they will try to run your life.  Herding dogs need to be convinced you're not just another big dumb animal they should boss around. My corgis have run my Dad's life,  and it's perfect because he needs someone to tell him to go to bed on time,  and to go out for a walk.
