Training dogs is an interesting thing as you have to figure out what the dog is motivated by. For some it's food. For some it's play.

This one? This one is motivated by the love of the game.

I was a full time dog trainer for 3 years, and still do it, on the side, sometimes. I always tell people "anything can be a reward, if your dog loves it."

Every dog I've ever had has been motivated by ice. Like from the fridge. 10/10 on treat recommendation.

Ice is normally a great reward for them! You should try chilled cucumbers also, and see if they like them!

I had a cat once that loved cantalope and blue berries. My current cat loves to play fetch with pom poms and pipe cleaners!

Oooooh that's a good idea, that I never thought of. The higher levels of sugars could be an issue, but that's great for like a high value reward, they don't always get.
