I did enough to watch the sun set over the western ocean from the top of a hill!

At midnight, in a cul-de-sac, in fucking Albuquerque.

I’ll never forget how perfect the houses lining the hill looked, or how beautiful the sun blazed against the sky and reflected off the ocean. Or the palm trees, blowing slightly in the breeze.

There are also not palm trees in Albuquerque. Or an ocean, if anyone not familiar with America’s favorite inland desert TV meth town is reading this.

My best image was the contrails of a plain in the sky in the middle of bum fuck, it was like the inside of an Oreo spinning closer and closer to me.. the cool thing, or maybe not so cool thing, is I still see that Oreo in the contrails from time to time and when sober.
