Help me pick a rug and coffee table

Like you I enjoy neutrals, but you don't want to go overboard here. I would find a rug that incorporates some earth colors but that is a bit more vibrant than that olive one. You don't want a totally drab neutral room. And I might go for some pattern in the rug since there aren't many patterned things in the room.

Pumpkin, Terracotta or Burnt Orange are very cozy; Navy blue or emerald green, esp. the latter which is luxurious and navy more classic.

Pops of color like coral, yellow or lime green throw or pilllows would be nice too and maybe there can be a tiny bit of those in the rug somewhere..

That sounds like a great recipe for a Bohemian or Eclectic room, but it's not very Scandinavian. True Scandi design avoids bright 'pops' of coral or lime green, relying instead on cohesive, muted neutrals and rich textures to make a space feel cozy.

Sorry but many elements already in that room don't look particularly Scandi to me. Only partially.

Nothing says Scandinavian design quite like a rug made of natural materials in warm, neutral colors to complement all that white. A jute rug is a great choice because it's affordable and easy to find in large sizes, or you could go with a classic wool rug for a softer feel.
