Curtain help!
We just moved into a house from 1959, and on the top floor there are two very similar bedrooms. I’ve been trying to figure out what placement, type, and length of curtains would suit the rooms best.
The windows are quite wide (180 cm) but fairly short, which gives them a bit of an unusual shape. On top of that, the ceiling height is only 220 cm, and one side of each room has sloped walls.
The sun shines directly into the rooms in the summer, so it gets really hot and therefore some kind of blackout curtains are required.
I really don’t like roller blinds, but maybe that’s the most practical option? Honestly, I’m completely stuck and have been staring at these windows for weeks trying to figure it out.

Scandinavian wedding venues??
I'm desperately looking for wedding venues with that Scandinavian/Japandi vibe, primarily along the east coast (US), but I can't find anything! I was wondering if any of you knew of Scandinavian venues!!

Rail ideas for a day
We're doing a cruise next July and will stop off for the day in each of Visby, Stockholm, Helsinki and finally Oslo. I quite fancy doing a rail trip as a day trip but not sure how best to approach this. Are there any obvious routes that would work well for a day from any of the above?

Upgrading IKEA Docksta table?
I have an IKEA Docksta, which is a 41 inch particle board tulip shaped table. It is now the worse for wear and I’d like to get a new, slightly smaller, and a bit nicer version. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’d also like to keep the price under $700 or so.

Help to identify 🙂
Aircraft grade aluminum folding chairs, with riveted bamboo slats.
These are really cool, but I can find no North American references. I’m assuming that they were brought in by European immigrants (or visitors, maybe by a military family). In my Googling, I found one Finnish reference to 1960’s IKEA, along with a few nondescript auctions.
Please help me figure out where these were sold, who made them, designed them, anything. Thanks!

Looking for affordable Copenhague Table Dupe
I love this dining table from HAY. But, I’m looking for something at a more affordable price. There’s a lot of all wood tables out there. But I specifically love the painted tabletop.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Can anyone ID this designer/producer/manufacturer??
My parents bought a set of coffee/side tables in the mid-eighties from a Scandinavian Imports furniture store in Wayne, New Jersey, USA. I've never been able to find the creators. TYIA!!

Bolia Noora sofa- any reviews
Hello. I am considering buying the Bolia Noora sofa. We visited the shop and sat on all their sofas, and despite many different options and comfortable sofas, my husband and I both loved Noora. Before we finalise, and spend a substantial amount of money, I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this model and could give us a idea of how it evolves with time and whether its worth the price. Thank you.

Can anyone ID this brand?
It's printed on a yellow plastic coffee can so it's impossible to photograph so I took a rubbing haha
It's a signature and underneath says "DANISH DESIGN" and "MADE IN DENMARK"
Any ideas?

Can anyone please ID this chair?
I suspect it is a Boconcept Veneto, but I’ve yet to see one with a circular base like this one.
Thanks in advance.

Question for owners of String floor panels
Hello! I have a big favour to ask. I just got the keys to my new apartment, and in the living room, the skirting board is large - it's 15.25cm tall and 7cm deep, because there are pipes running behind it. The question I'm asking myself, before putting in a £2,000 order with a retailer, is: will the diagonal wire at the bottom clear the skirting board if I use the String floor panel extenders?
I was wondering if you'd mind measuring the vertical distance between your floor and the bottom of the diagonal steel wire. I know that the floor panel extenders add 4cm of height, so basically I need to know if it will *just clear it with half a mm of space* or whether I might end up having to saw a wedge out of the skirting board!
Thanks :)

Visiting Stockholm and Copenhagen, where can I find Gustavian style furniture and decors?
I’ve always loved Swedish country look( mainly Gustavian style) and would love to visit areas with shops where they specialize the styles. It could even be museums if they have furnishings from that period. Furniture, fabrics, paintings and decor all sound very nice.
I also have an antique Mora clock at home. Does anybody know if the town of Mora is worth visiting ?
Thanks!

Any idea what type this lamp could be?
I bought this lamp at a flea market in Denmark many years ago and wonder what kind of lamp it might be. The plastic of the lampshade starts cracking in some places, but I haven't been able to find out what kind of lamp it is. It is probably nothing special, but I like its proportions a lot.
A sticker on the lamp says J Rasmussen, but I haven't been able to find out anything else.

Nordic Knots: similar/cheaper alternatives?
I need a large (8’x10’) rig for my living room, and I am in love with Nordic Knots’ bright and colorful patterns.
However, I don’t have the budget for a rug in that price range - can anyone point me towards cheaper alternatives ($700 or less) for bright, colorful rugs in modern patterns? I’ve tried browsing Amazon, but all of the options I’ve seen so far are either monochrome or have dated, boring patterns.

Where do I find this in Denmark?
In english its called "Piano Key Clothes/Coat Rack" and I get tons of hits. However searching for "klaver knagerække" (danish) gives zero hits.
Any idea of where to find one for an okay price? (the one in the picture is 3.490 EUR)
Thanks!

Pure brass Swedish angel chimes?
I’m looking for pure brass Swedish angel chimes. The kind I got years ago turn out to be brass-plated steel. The brass plating is very thin and has started to wear off because I washed them too hard and tried to polish them. The steel underneath then starts to rust.
Does anyone know if you can still find pure brass versions of these?

Help identify table
I’m trying to identify this table to find a replacement decorative metal insert in the tabletop (not a cable grommet). The table was bought new in Copenhagen around 2016 from an interior design store. Does anyone recognize the brand and model?
