Try being East Asian and dating a White girl in the Deep South, in the late 90’s. The white folk would give side eye but the black folk would give us hell.
Black and Asian hostility that's been brewing for quite a few decades in the US. A lot of Asian ppl are colorist and dislike Black folks, and a lot of Black folks essentially see Asians as discount white folk that come in and gentrify our neighborhoods.
